Abstract

An Internet-based application to provide online college magazine/periodicals.

It will contain online articles, news & other informative material , contributed either by the students or the faculty.

Justification of the ProjectSaves Paper & Publishing cost.

Online publishing of the magazine overcomes all the “Paper” disadvantages.

Easy-access.

Problems in existing SystemAll the “Paper” disadvantages.

Quality & Cost are directly proportional.

Getting feedback isn’t easy.

Distribution requires manual effort.

FeaturesHomepage with features like: most read

articles, editor’s pick, recently posted articles , highest rated articles, article of the month, college news, etc.

Guests can read articles, rate them, but can’t post articles unless they sign in as registered users. Guest can become a registered user if he is a part of the college (Student/Faculty). Anyone can become registered member after admin’s permission.

Continued..College Students/Faculties can only register as members

(through unique IDs).

Registered members, Moderators and Administrators are allowed to post articles.

Only admin has authority to add and delete users. Admin can mail all the users simultaneously.

Home page will contain search Engine for all the articles posted till date and list option to see the list of all articles posted.

Interactive feedback will be supported to enhance the user experience.
