The Hondo ISD Resource Fair is for all students

with disabilities served in special education or

504 in the Hondo area, and their families.

Students and their families can gather

important information, and gain tools to help

support and plan for their future after high

school. Agencies, organizations, as well as

vendors will be in attendance to share their

services that can support their current needs

and those needs anticipated in the future.

HISD will also assist families in completing a

Child ID Kit for all the children in attendance.

Technology Dept. coordinates installation of new Promethean Boards

Fourteen new touch Promethean Interactive Whiteboards and Epson Projectors were installed in third grade and kindergarten classrooms in January. The installations were part of the district obsolescence plan to replace aging equipment in a timely proactive manner. Classroom equipment will be replaced on a rotation basis. In addition, new labs have been installed at the high school to improve access to online resources.

2015 Bond Project Update

The 2015 Bond Projects are now in full swing and progress is being made! See details on the HISD website under Bond 2015 link.

Hondo High School Phase I project bid were awarded to

Stoddard by the Board of Trustees on Tuesday, November 14 in the

amount of $7.6 million. Construction staging has started and ground

clearing starts soon.

Meyer is moving along – you might have noticed the early morning cement pour of the office foundation, trucks and trucks of bricks – with the masons fast at work, and the new office walls and roof!!!

McDowell foundation is poured making way for the new and

exciting science wing!

Meyer Elementary construction is moving along

with a planned move-in to the A Wing over Spring

Break. The new office area has changed the face of Meyer! Exciting times!

As of January 16, all projects report being on-track and on-

schedule!
