EverServ 2000 & EverServ 500 OPOS Driver Installation & Testing Instructions

Before installing OPOS Drivers on Windows 7 images complete the following steps:
♦ Click:
• Start
• Control Panel
• User Accounts and Family Safety
• User Accounts
• Change User Account Control Settings
♦ In User Account Control Settings box, change current setting from Default to Never Notify by
sliding cursor. Click OK, and then clickYes.
NOTE: Once you are done installing OPOS Drivers you must change User Account Control Settings
back to Default.
Install OPOS Driver:
♦ Locate your PAR Drivers folder, labeled either PAR or Par Drivers
♦ Click:
• ES500_OPOS_V101
• V1.0.1
• Setup.exe
♦ Select:
• Next
♦ Select:
• One Drawer
• Next
For two drawers click two drawers:
Click Next
Choose COM Port 3
Click Next
• Click Install
• PAR ES500 OPOS – Install Shield Wizard screen will appear
♦ Select:
• Yes, I want to restart my computer now.
• Finish
REMINDER: Once your POS system restarts you must change User Account Control Settings back to
Default following these steps:
♦ Click:
• Start
• Control Panel
• User Accounts and Family Safety
• User Accounts
• Change User Account Control Settings
♦ In User Account Control Settings box, change current setting from Never Notify to Default by
sliding cursor. Click OK, and then clickYes.
Run OPOS MSR Demo Tool V1.0.3:
♦ Click:
• Start MSR Demo
• Choose USB HID KB: IDTECH_ MMII_USBKB from the Open dropdown menu as
shown below:
♦ Click:
• Open
• Claim
• Device Enabled Checkbox
♦ Swipe Test Card, you should see DataEvent is received as shown below:
Run OPOS Cash Drawer Demo Tool V1.1.3:
♦ Click:
• Start All Programs OPOS Utility CashDrawer Demo
• Open Service
• Claim CD
• Enable CD
• Open Drawer
Run Line Display Demo Tool V1.0.1:
♦ Click:
• Start All Programs OPOS Utility VFD Demo
• Open Service
• Claim Device
• Enable Device
♦ Type phrase into Display Text box, click Display Text. Phrase should be shown on rear line display.
