Accepting Christ at an early age, she became a member of Knuckles Chapel Baptist Church. In the year 1939, she met Elzie Lee Foster at church and after dating before and after his tour of duty in the US Army serving in World War II, they were united in Holy Matrimony April 7, 1946. Nine children were born from this union. The family relocated to Washington, DC while a home was being built in Glenarden, Maryland. She joined First Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess and Choir Member. Later, after becoming a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Landover, Maryland, she continued to serve as a Deaconess, served on the Usher Board and sang on the choir. In 1991, she relocated back to Gaffney, South Carolina. She rejoined Knuckles Chapel Baptist Church and continued as a Deaconess and Usher. She officially became the Mother of the church in 2011. She believed in the power of prayer and reading Gods word. Sister Foster was generous, unselfish, courageous, unique, wise, patient, but most of all a loving person. She was a true virtuous woman. She was a devoted servant of God who remained steadfast, unmovable who always abounded in the work of the Lord. Let her works praise her in the gates! She is preceded in death by her husband: Elzie Lee Foster, seven brothers; Frank Haney, Burgess Haney, T. L. Haney, Wilkes Haney, Emanuel Haney, Press Haney, Sam Haney, four sisters; Julia Wilkins, Carrie Brown, ONeil Crosby, Iola Green, daughters; Patricia Leftridge, and Elaine Foster. Left to cherish fond memories: her children; Sylvester Foster, Connie Copeland, Richard Foster (Charlene), Linda Foster, Sandra Foster-Poole (Wayne), Jimmy Foster (Janice), Paul Foster, 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 3 great -greatgrandchildren, and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Remembering Her Life Manazine Haney Foster was born April 2, 1922 to the proud parents of President Haney and Venus Fowler Haney in Cherokee County, South Carolina. Accepting Christ at an early age, she became a member of Knuckles Chapel Baptist Church.
