RE: Samuel Sixtos-Gomez A#095-735-387
Honorable Secretary Johnson & ICE Leadership:
I am writing to you on behalf of Mr. Samuel Sixtos-Gomez, a Santa Ana resident that is currently being detained at the Adelanto Detention Facility located in Adelanto, CA.
Samuel has been in the country since he was 8 years old. He wants to complete his G.E.D. to be able to qualify for the Obama Administration’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Yet, he is currently being held at the Adelanto Detention Center awaiting court where he may be deported.
He is a responsible father and pays child support to raiser his U.S. citizen daughter. He is also a father figure to his younger U.S. citizen siblings who look up to Samuel since their father was deported several years ago. Samuel’s mother also depends on his income, as she is not able to work due to her legal status.
Samuel is neither a public threat nor a flight risk. He has deep ties in his community and this country. He has been educated and raised here in the U.S. and he merits a positive exercise of prosecutorial discretion to be released on immigration bond so he be immediately released to his family and he can go back to school to finish his G.E.D. and apply for DACA.
