WHAT TO DO?
Step 1Receive the referral for study

Step 3Get a visa, send a scan / photo of the visa to the study office

Step 5A week before arrival receive the referral for accommodationfrom the study office (for those who will live in the dormitory)
Step 6Purchase a VMI policy (you can choose from the onespresented on the site https://www.hse.ru/en/medical/ins/)
Step 7Receive a medical certificate confirming a negative testresult for COVID-19 (using the PCR method) in Russianor in English (no earlier than 72 hours before arrival)
Step 8Receive a medical certificate confirming a negative testresult for COVID-19 (using the PCR method) in Russianor in English (immediately after arrival)• at the airport / medical laboratoryor• in the dormitory (you need to be isolated until you get
the results)
Step 9Check-in the dormitory from 25 September (for those whowill live in a dormitory). Before receiving the test results(Step 8), it is necessary to be isolated at the place ofresidence.

Where do you get?
The Study Office will help you get a regular student pass at the time of enrollment. To get a student pass, you should send a photo and a negative result of a PCR test to [email protected] after arriving in Russia

The Prep year students are not eligible to receive a student ID and student social card (also known as transport card).
BANKING CARD
Scholarship students will receive a MIR scholarship banking card.
Office will help you obtain the card.
Stipend amount – 2000 rubles a month.
STUDENT E-MAIL
During your stay at HSE all e-mails and notifications from the office (study schedule, visa issues, etc.) will be sent to your student email ONLY.
Your log-in instructions and password to enter your e-mail box will be provided to you in an e-mail from International Prep Year manager.
Please note that this is your responsibility to check your student e-mail DAILY to avoid misinformation.

ACADEMIC PLAN
Basic course of Russian - 784 class hours3 academic tracks (224 class hours each) devoted to humanities, economics, and engineering and technology.
Your academic track is specified in the referral issued by the Russian Ministry of Education.

It is not allowed to change groups without Prep Year study office permission.In some cases, this is not possible due to time zone
TIMETABLE AND ONLINE SCHEDULING SYSTEM
HSE mobile app (available for iOs, Android, or WindowsPhone) or
on the website (choose Schedule-Student-your name).
Class duration - 1 hour 20 minutes in total. The beginning of each class is fixed.
Online classes - Zoom/MC Teams according to the schedule.
Offline classes - HSE building
KNOWLEDGE ASSESSMENT
Regularity: routine assessment, intermediate assessment, and the final assessment.
Forms of knowledge assessment: tests and exams.
Exam Schedule: formed one week before the exams and published on the Preparatory
Year web page.
Please note that skipping classes (including online classes) affects your final grade.
You final grade will consist of attendance, performance in classes and homework.

Scholarship
TEST OF RUSSIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE
At the HSE International Prep Year, you can
pass a certified exam in Russian as a foreign
language (TRKI, levels A1-C2).
This exam can be taken instead of Russian
language entrance exam, if you change the
field of study.

ENROLLMENT IN THE FULL-DEGREE PROGRAMMES
In February 2022, you will receive an email, where we will give you the link to register in the personal
account of a foreign applicant and detailed instructions.
You will need to register for the program (according to your referral of the Ministry of Education and
Science of the Russian Federation).
Enrollment documents:
