Fr. Tom’s Tidbits
The Annual Catholic Chari#es Collec#on will be next weekend.
As men#oned previously, many agencies and ministries are funded
through this collec#on.
Next Sunday, May 10th, is Mother’s Day. The Christ First Teens will
be selling roses a&er all of the Masses.
The School May Crowning Ceremony will be on Friday, May 15th, at
the conclusion of the 8:45AM Mass. Eighth Grade Gradua#on from
our Parish School will be the following Friday, May 22nd, at 7PM.
In today’s bulle#n are two le"ers from Archbishop Cupich. Please
read them.
For those couples celebra#ng their Golden Wedding Anniversary
this year, you are invited to a Golden Wedding Anniversary Mass at the Holy Name Cathedral on
Sunday, August 30th, at 2:45PM. Please contact the Parish Office by Wednesday, May 27th, if
you would like to a"end the Mass. On the weekend of June 6th/7th, all married couples
a"ending Mass that weekend will have the opportunity to renew their marriage vows a&er the
homily.
On Friday, April 24th, Bishop Manz Confirmed the students from our Parish School and the
Religious Educa#on Program. It was a beau#ful Mass. I truly felt the presence of the Holy Spirit
through the presence and words of Bishop Manz.
As of now, I have not received an assignment. But I am sure within the next few weeks, I will
be informed of my new assignment.
Please pray for our Second Graders who received the Eucharist for the first #me this weekend.
Let us pray that this is the first of many #mes that these children will receive the Eucharist.
Christ First High School
Youth Ministry
In early April, some of our
Junior and Senior Christ First
Teens that have taken on the
responsibility of leadership roles
within our Our Lady of Humility
family, were honored at the
Vicariate Teen Leadership
Award Banquet. These Teens
volunteer their #me and energy to help with music, Religious
Educa#on, and at the Christ First Mee#ngs as Peer Ministers.
These outstanding Teens are: Kevin Junge, Esteban Hernandez,
Howie Norrish, Colle"e Hazinski, and Sarah Olson. We are so proud of
the way they con#nually become the hands and voice of God right here
in our li"le corner of the world. We humbly thank them for being so willing to step up.
Congratula#ons to each of you!!
