Please note that this is the last time the store will be open this year. All grades are encouraged to purchase OLP gear to have and wear on May 11th when we celebrate OLP Day!

Elementary Olympic Activity Day The Olympics are coming, and we are excited to celebrate at OLP! On Thursday, February 8 (a.m.), we will be having an Olympic-themed Activity Day for our K-Gr. 6 students. We will begin the day with an opening ceremony in the gym, and will then split into stations to play a variety of Olympic games. Approximately half of the stations will be outside, with half of them inside, so please have your children dress appropriately that day. If the weather is too cold (below -18 degrees), we will bump our Activity Day to Friday, February 9 (p.m.). A small snack will be provided for the students. Please send them with their regular lunch. Classes will resume as usual in the afternoon. Lastly, to celebrate the diversity in our school, February 8 is also going to be "Who are you Cheering For?" Day; your children are welcome to wear any shirts or hats that support their home country, or they can choose to wear red & white to represent Canada! Thank you for your support with this! Storks have moved on from delivering babies to packages. But when an order for a baby appears, the best delivery stork must scramble to fix the error by delivering the baby.

LOST AND FOUND

A reminder to please ensure that ALL student belongings are labelled. We have a growing amount of items that include lunch boxes, jackets, sweaters, mittens etc. Items are displayed in the hallway and every other Friday are donated to charity.

Valentine’s Day This year St. Valentine’s Day falls on Ash Wednesday. In order to honour this holy day OLP will be celebrating Valentines on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 13th. We will begin the day with our traditional pancake breakfast (generously donated by RICKY’s). Students will be encouraged to wear red, white and pink and the festivities associated with Valentines will happen on this day. Our Ash Wednesday Liturgy will take place at the school at 8:20 am Wednesday, Feb. 14th. We look forward to welcoming many of you that morning.

Danceworks is coming! We will have sign up for this wonderful all ages event beginning on Monday January 29th. Students Gr 1- 9 are invited to be a part of this showcase event. We will host rehearsal during the lunch hour, and the final performance will be held at Bishop Grandin High School 4:30 - 6:00 on April 16th
