OUR SUPPORT FOR ST. STANISLAUS CHURCH IN 2011-2012
Our fifth Annual Appeal was mailed in November 2011 to approximately 1,500 people in the Rochester area and around the country who have connections to St. Stanislaus Church. Supplementing the appeal were two ongoing fund-raisers: sale of our “Guide to a Walking Tour of St. Stanislaus Church,” and sale of our Polish American cook book. Your strong, generous response added substantially to our endowment fund, and also allowed us to present the parish with the following contributions in 2011-2012:
• $5,000 given by an anonymous donor and specified for the belfry repair. (A matching gift from the donor’s employer is pending for this donation.)
• $6,850 from the foundation’s general funds for the belfry repair project, given in memory of our board member Dodie Piersielak.
We are proud to report that, in total, the Friends of St. Stanislaus Foundation has given the parish $50,750 for the care of St. Stanislaus Church since 2006-2007. The chart below shows those funds as a proportion of all the funds we have raised since the formation of the foundation in 2004. As you can see, we have invested the largest proportion of our funds in the foundation’s endowment, which will support the preservation of the church in the future.

MISSION STATEMENTThe mission of the Friends of St. Stanislaus Foundation (Fundacja Przyjaciół Św. Stanisława) is to support the vitality of
St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish of Rochester, NY, in particular by raising funds for the care and maintenance of St. Stanislaus Church. The
church, a magnificent local landmark, is the spiritual heart of Rochester’s Polish community, as well as Rochester Polonia’s most distinctive
and beloved structure. By creating a strong base of support among members of the parish’s extended family (current and former parishioners,
alumni of St. Stanislaus School, Polish community organizations, area residents of Polish descent, members of the Latin Mass Community,
and all who count themselves “friends of St. Stanislaus”), the foundation will help enrich and preserve the Polish heritage and culture of
St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish.

WE THANK THE FOLLOWING “FRIENDS OF ST. STANISLAUS” FOR THEIR SUPPORT FOR THE FOUNDATION. Contributions listed were received from November 2011 through October 2012.
POINT OF HISTORY . . . For centuries, church bells have been blessed before being installed and are given names. The names of St. Stanislaus’ bells, engraved on their sides along with the names of donors, are St. Stanislaus (largest bell), Our Lady of Perpetual Help (middle-sized bell), and St. Joseph (smallest bell).
