The Pasadena Community Job Center is a member of the National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON), an alliance of more than 42 worker centers and other member organizations dedicated to creating daily, temporary and permanent employment opportunities for day laborers, with fair wages and safe working conditions. Our ultimate goal is to enable every day laborer to earn a living, contribute to society, and integrate into the community.

Call 626-440-0112 to hire workers now.

Is hiring hard work?

Not here.

In fact, engaging the workers you need couldn’t be easier. When you come in or call, we help select the appropriate worker(s) for the job, establish a fair wage that’s agreed to up front by both parties, make introductions, and that’s it. You can provide transpor-tation, or we will coordinate getting workers to your home or business site. The hiring process is easy, convenient and dignified. You pay the worker when the day’s work is done.

For employers and workers,

We’re the center of everything.

The Pasadena Community Job Center is the “go-to” place for day laborer services.

Besides linking employers with workers, the Center monitors worker quality. We also help day laborers find full-time work and set up small businesses of their own. We promote workforce development through skills training and English language classes. And we foster stronger relationships within families and between neighbors, with community-building efforts such as sports leagues.

All in all, we are dedicated to helping people — both men and women — reach their potential as breadwinners for their families and productive members of our community.

“I have a big lot and need gardening and clean-up help all the time. I couldn’t even tell you how many guys I’ve hired there through the years — hundreds. Really nice people and hard workers.”

Pasadena Homeowner, Susan Zelkwitz

Building community is a collective effort. The Pasadena Community Job Center could not exist without the generosity of individuals and organizations who provide financial support, most notably:

City of Pasadena

Private foundations

In addition, the Center is fortunate to be able to rely on the advice and expertise of the Community Advisory Board.

For information about how you can donate funds, goods or your time, please contact the Center.

Established 2000.

Funded by a grant from the City of Pasadena as well as significant donations from private foundations and generous members of the greater Pasadena community.

Supported by numerous volunteers in the skilled trades, English language teachers and others.

A proud affiliate of the National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON) association of more than 42 worker centers nationwide.

With friends and allies,

Pasadena Community Job Center

we’re building community.
