Questel

Questel offers more than 500 databases for specialists in patents, trademarks, designs, and domain names.

FamPat, is the main patent database and covers more than 93 offices. This database provides comprehensive family coverage of worldwide patent publications. A single family record combines together all publication stages of the family. Searches for assignee, inventor or classes can be conducted on all family equivalents.

Dialog / Datastar

Dialog was established in 1966 as the world’s first online information retrieval service.

In 1993 Dialog merged with Datastar.

They are now part of ProQuest and provide a very large number of databases in such fields as business, science, engineering, finance and law.

PatBase

INSPEC

Is a comprehensive English-language bibliographic database, in physics, electronics and computing. It contains over 11 million bibliographic abstracts and indexing to journal articles, conference proceedings, technical reports and other literature in the fields of science and technology.

Over 4000 scientific and technical journals and some 2200 conference proceedings, as well as numerous books, reports and dissertations are scanned each year by Inspec staff for relevant articles to abstract and index for inclusion in the Database. Of the 4000 journals, around 1600 are indexed cover-to-cover.
