Lessons & Practices: Mainstreaming
Get broad involvement of all
stakeholders:
Run different workshops on how the different
impact of climate change at the National,
provincial and community level
Project activities linked to NDS, sectorial
policies to ensure sustainability
Everyone has ownership of the NCC policy
Solomon Islands
Lessons & Practices: Demonstration
Stakeholders involvement in
demonstrations (provincial government,
community leaders, farmers, CC related
projects and farmers)
Involved stakeholders through workshops: e.g

Hands on involvement, new knowledge
learned, women playing a major role in
project activities

High Level Issue & Recommendation
ISSUE / RECOMMENDATION
Briefly describe the
outstanding challenge
SUSTAINABILITY
What is the outcome
result and how will /
can it be made to
last longer, beyond
the life of the
project?
RELEVANCE
How relevant is this
to the development
objective of the
project? Why?
EFFECTIVENESS
How effective is this
issue or
recommendation to
achieving the
outcome or objective
of the project?
EFFICIENCY
How efficient is this
issue or
recommendation to
achieving the goals,
objectives of the
project?
(if N/A – Why?)
• Availability of

of the project
• Stakeholder
involvement and
policy alignment
key to attaining
goal of the
project (Bottom
Up and Top
down)
• Involvement of

officials (face-to-
face
engagement
more expensive
in short-term
but more
efficient in Long
term)
• Government
feel ownership
