Internship Recruiter,

While researching internships for my junior year, I was impressed with the food science and technology field. I have always been interested in creating food related products and was intrigued by the creativity of your company.

I am a student at the Ann Richards School for Young Woman Leaders, and I am majoring in engineering. Having a major in high school means that I have a whole class dedicated to teaching me, and the students in my class, how to be a successful engineer. We have also gone on several trips and tours of engineering firms and engineering colleges. I was especially impressed by the food science and technology department of Texas A&M. This tour sparked my interest in food science. Aside from engineering, I am also very dedicated to my studies. I have been a member of National Junior Honor Society since 7th

grade and I am also the Vice President and an active ambassador of my school. Ann Richards has also taught me the importance of helping our community. I give back to my community by volunteering at a nursing home every week. Volunteering is important to me because my current plans for my future as an engineer will have a lot to do with working with communities and people.

Thank you for considering me as an applicant for an internship at your company. I am very excited to meet you and the other members of your company soon. Please contact me at [email protected] or at the address above.

Sincerely,

Paige Robbins

This is a certificate of completion of the Duke Tip talent search in 2008. I took the SAT in 7th grade to test my college readiness. I am currently in PSAT/SAT tutoring with the Seedling Foundation. The students who scored the highest on

the PSAT in 10th grade were invited to go to this PSAT/SAT tutoring.

After reading Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales, I was assigned a project to explain the nobles in the Canterbury Tales. I used the software Prezi to create this presentation. To see the entire presentation please go to:

This is a project that I created for my Principles of Engineering Class. Our assignment was to create an innovative bridge design. We used the bridge designing software West-

Point Bridge Design. This design won as the most innovative design out of all of my engineering class’ designs.
