A Pallet Truck is: a truck designed to lift and transport goods on a standard pallet or platform. They can be manually or power operated. Pallet trucks are normally used in and around production areas, but are not suitable for stacking, or loading and unloading road or rail vehicles, except from an elevated dock. Pallet trucks come in walkie (pedestrian) or ride-on varieties. Pallet trucks are commonly end controlled, but some ride-on models are centre controlled.

The information in this show is for operating a Pallet Truck

Note: This show is not for a stacker.

Re-Training/Operator Evaluations• Re-training is required

anytime there is an accident involving the powered industrial truck.

• Operators assigned to a different style of truck need to be re-trained.

• Conditions in the workplace changing could require re-training of the operator.

• Operator evaluations are required to be done at least once every 3 years.
