ContentCandidates will gain knowledge and understanding of the preparation for and administration of medication according to current national guidelines and this will include organisational policy and procedures.

Entry RequirementsCare workers involved in the administration of medication however this award is also at SQCF level 7/SVQ level 3 therefore some degree of academic writing skills and individual learning is essential.

Formal agreement from the candidate’s employer is required for this award as direct observation of candidate’s practice in the workplace is a mandatory component of this PDA.

FormatPart-time course totalling 67 to 72 hours, including:

one academic unit and one SVQ unit at level 3 five half-day college class sessions over 10 weeks self-study workplace observation formal written assignments
