    Virginia Huffman is a PMC Certified Instructor who has been working with Precious Metal Clay since 2005. In addition to PMC,

    she offers basic jewelry instruction as well as metal stamping and fine silver fusing. Prior to opening PMC Design Studio in

    HAVE A HEART FOR Metal Clay; Precious Metal Charms and Beads

    Just in time forValentines Day! Come make whimsical charms and

    hollow beads with PMC. This is a great class to give as a gift or take

    with a friend. You can wear your special treasures home or give

    them away on February 14th.

    Weekend Session: Saturday, January 29, 10-4pm OR-

    Weekday Series: Two consecutive sessions on Thursdays in January (1/13 and

    1/27) from 10am-1pm OR-Week Night Series: Two consecutive sessions on Wednesdays in January (2/19

    and 2/26) from 10am-1pm. In this class you have the option of using BronzClay.

    Class Fee: $90 for instruction, use of tools and firing.

    Materials fee: Starts at $55 (depending on the current silver market) Fee

    includes a 25 gram pack of PMC and other consumables. Bring chain and clasp or

    buy some in class to finish off your project. Additional PMC is available for

    purchase in class.

    Level: All levels. Basics of PMC will be reviewed in this class.

    GET THE MIDAS TOUCH! LEARN TO ADD GOLD TO PMC

    Love the look of mixed metals? Want to add a

    bit of gold to your designs? In this class we will

    learn how to apply 22k gold to our fine silver

    creations to make them extraordinary.

    Weekend Session: One day session. SaturdayFebruary 26th 10am-4pm. Class Fee: $90 for instruction, use of

    tools and firing -OR-

    Weekday Series: Three consecutive sessions in March (3/10, 3/17, 3/24) from 10am-1pm. Class fee $120 for 3

    days of instruction, use of tools and firing.

    Materials Fee: Price varies depending on the current price of gold and PMC3. Approx $150 and up. Materials used:

    PMC3, Aura 22 and Art Clay Overlay Paste.

    Level: Intermediate to Advanced Students. Students must feel fairly comfortable working with PMC.

    PMC RINGS

    Learn how to make a gorgeous hand crafted silver ring. In this

    class you will learn how to size a ring band in PMC. We will be

    using a variety of texture plates as well as learn how to layer

    words or phrases on our creations.

    Weekend Session: Saturday, March 26, 10-4pm -OR-

    Weekday Series: Two consecutive sessions in February (2/17,

    2/24) from 10am-1pm Weekday

    Class Fee: $90 for instruction, use of tools and firing

    Materials Fee: Approx $55 (depending on the current silver market)

    Materials Fee includes a 25 gram pack of PMC and other consumables.

    Level: All levels. Some experience with PMC is preferred.

    PHOTOPOLYMER PLATES, MOULDS AND LAYERING

    Learn how to make gorgeous textures

    with a Photopolymer Plate. Add mould

    making to your repertoire and you are onyour way creating something wonderful

    to wear or to give as a gift.

    Photopolymer Plates (PPPs) are great for adding

    text and interesting design to your PMC designs.

    Traditionally PPPs are used in the printing

    industry --- but with PMC you are able to make a personalized stamp of a line drawing made from various resources

    -- even your own drawings. The great thing is that a photopolymer plate can be used over and over again. You will

    love the sharp impressions you get from these fun and versatile texture plates! Students will also learn how to make

    moulds to add additional interest to their work as well as layering techniques.

    After this session, take the March weekday series and use your plates with BronzClay!

    Weeknight Series: Three consecutive Wednesday sessions in February (2/9, 2/16 & 2/23) 6pm-9pm

    Class Fee: $135

    Materials Fee: Approx $70 for 25 grams of PMC3, Polymer Plates and mould making material (fee varies with the

    silver market)

    Level: Intermediate to Advanced

    Something Old Into Something New;

    MOULD MAKING AND CREATIVE CONNECTING COMPONENTS with

    BRONZCLAY

    Learn to turn beautiful vintage

    buttons and baubles into useablemoulds. Then use the moulds with

    BronzClay, and Voila! You have

    beautiful jewelry components to

    incorporate into a unique jewelry

    design.

    In this class you will learn several ways to make moulds and create exquisite jewelry. The first two classes will focus

    on making jewelry components and a custom clasp. On the final class we will add chain, beads, and gemstones to

    compliment your creations.

    Weeknight Series: Three consecutive Wednesdays March (3/9, 3/16, 3/23) 6-9pm

    Class Fee: $135 for instruction, use of tools and kiln firing.

    Materials Fee: Starts at $35 for BronzClay, mould material and other consumables. Bring texture plates and rubber

    stamps. Students will also need to bring their own chain and beads to finish the project on the final class.

    Level: Intermediate to Advanced. Students should be familiar with PMC and basic jewelry skills like wire wrapping

    and stringing.

    PMC OPEN STUDIO

    Studio time is available for those who have taken at least 8

    hours of instructionin metal clay and are fairly comfortable

    working with PMC. Studio tools & textures are available for you

    to practice and explore your creativity with PMC.

    Weekday Evening Sessions: Wednesday Nightsfrom 6-9pm -OR-

    Weekday Daytime Sessions: Thursdays from 10am-1pm

    Class Fee: $40 per session. Discounted rate for multiple sessions.

    Materials Fee: Bring your own PMC or buy some in class.

    Level: Intermediate to Advanced; students must feel very comfortable working with PMC.

    PRIVATE AND SEMI PRIVATE SESSIONSCant make a class? Want some one-on-one time specific to your learning interests? Know others

    may want to join you in this creative medium? Schedule some time at PMC Design Studio with Virg

    Class fees are as follows:

    Three or four hour sessions:

    1 person $45/hour per person plus materials

    2 people $35/hour hour per person plus materials

    3 people $25/hour per person plus materials

    4 people $20/hour hour per person plus materials

    Session prices are as follows for sessions five to eight hours long.

    1 person $35/hour per person plus materials

    2 people $25/hour per person plus materials

    3 people $20/hour per person plus materials

    4 people $15/hour per person plus materials

    5 people plus. If you coordinate students, YOUR CLASS FEES ARE FREE. You only pay for the materials you

    use. All other participants are $15 per person per hour plus materials. The materials fee depends on the project(s) you

    select.

    CLASS REGISTRATION

    Sign-ups are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Prepayment of class is required to reserve your space. The materiafee will be collected the day of class. Please also read our class policies below. By signing up for a class you are

    indicating that you understand the class cancellation policies.

    You can register for a class by PayPal or check. Checks need to be received 10 days in advance of the session. Afthat, we can only accept PayPal payments. In the event that a check is returned, an additional $20 will be charged to covbank fees.

    CANCELLATION POLICY

    THERE ARE NO CASH REFUNDS. All payments are non-refundable. Please CHECK YOUR CALENDAR TWICE BEFOSIGNING UP! If you cannot attend a class that you have committed to, please refer to the options below.

    10 days notice. If you cancel at least 10 DAYS prior to the class, you can take a class of equal or lesser value up tomonths after the class you missed has ended.

    Less than 10 days. If you cannot make a class please notify me. You may send someone in your place with writtenconsent. No refunds are available.

    No Shows. If you sign up for a class & do not call or show up FOR ANY REASON your entire class fee is NON-REFUNDABand no makeupcredit will be given - no exceptions.

    Class Cancellations -- if we cancel. If student enrollment is below four students, PMC Design Studio may cancel a claup to three days prior to the class. You will be notified by phone or e-mail AND receive a FULL cash refund or credit towaanother class.

    WHAT TO BRING to Class

    A notebook and pen to take notes. PMC tools though there will be some provided in class. PMC may be brought orpurchased in class. Most classes use PMC Plus or PMC3 depending on the project. In some cases additional items will beindicated in the class description and will be provided by the instructor at a specified cost.

    Please do not bring any additional people unless they are already registered. Due to various hand tools and torches in oustudio, children are not allowed.

    Class Handouts and Projects.Class handouts are for class participants only. Copying and/or distribution are prohibited.

    WAIVER of LIABILITYDue to the use of hand tools, torches and chemicals that may be used in class, all students who register agree to sign awaiver of liability at the start of their session.
