used per person in Iraq. This makes this country one of the major consumers of these products in the region.
Due to recent droughts and water reduction in Dejleh & Forat rivers, fruit and vegetable production in Iraq has been reduced to one third and two third of domestic needs are supplied by importing from neighboring countries.

This center is to fulfill Erbil requirements to access agricultural and garden products from a centralized and integrated place to store, purchase and process them.
Construction & development is planned in three phases in an area of 507000 m2.
The project location is 9 Km far from the city center of Erbil, close to the old agricultural product distribution center.

46 Cold Storage SpecificationA private cold storage in dimensions of 12*6*6
and efficient volume of 430 m3 with separate cooling system and Freon gas for each shop is considered.Above cold storage is capable to support degrees 0, and -18. Waiting room or reception , transport, load and unload equipment are share between shops. This part of FDC is equipped with emergency power supply (Electricity Generator).

Exposition Hall SpecificationIn total, there are 5 halls in FDC with 50 meter
width, and 160 length.In each hall, there are 36 shops with 7 meter width, and 18 length; an area of 126 m2.There is a platform with height of 1.2 meter to unload the trucks.There are proper spots for dining and WC.Separate electricity distribution boards are designed and each hall has its own individual power generator.Flooring of the hall and shops is done with concrete resistant to lift trucks and light vehicle traffic.Pejman Salemi

The construction of 5000 tone cold storage is a preface to construction of 15000 tone in phase 2.This cold storage works with two circuits Freon gas and is capable of providing zero and -18 degree centigrade rooms.The cold storage is equipped with a platform to unload trucks.The cold storage has its own emergency power supply.The related administrative office is beside the cold storage in a four-stories building.

Power consumption of the tree FDC phases is estimated to be 3.5 mega watt.The general power network is capable to supply 5 mega watt.FDC indoor distribution system is supplied by dedicated transformers.Each sector in FDC has its own individual electricity post and power meter.There is an emergency power generator for the whole complex and each sector will also have a power supply.

Water SystemFDC has three deep wells with high capacity. Water extracted from theses wells is purified and mixed with Chlorine gas, then collected in a concrete underground tank. It will be used as sanitary water and is flowed through 2.5 kilometer long pipes in the complex.
The water from general waste drain filtration system and ground water collection is reserved and directed to separate routes with 4 kilometer long. This is used to water the landscape, general wash, and in firefighting system. Pejman Salemi
