What a perfect day we had for our show, not too hot and no rain! It was great to see that we had heaps of members riding, it almost looked like an intraclub comp there were so many! The freshmans showjumping ring was also popular with quite a few riders having a practice run over a course before TTT CT. Thanks again to all the members who helped during the weekend and made the day run easily. Also a big thanks to The Tack Box Saddlery in Tyabb who have sponsored our show for the past few years, kindly donating the HiPoint rugs and prizes for Champions! Check out www.peninsulapix.webs.com for shots taken by the professional photographer on the day, Katherine Jamison. Thanks to our member Tracey Perrott who took the snaps on the next page. Our Hickstead and Chicken Run is coming up this month. To compete, you don’t need to be level assessed but must ride at or below the level you ride at for XC lessons at club. Chicken run entrants may have whatever help they like on course– a quiet horse to follow, a person to lead you, or a whole cheer squad if you prefer! And the best part...if you don’t like a jump, just go around that one! Get your entries to Mike ASAP so he can send times out as early as possible. Just a reminder to all members who use the grounds outside rally times: The gate should be locked at all times. We have had issues with the gate being left open recently when no one is at the grounds , so please ensure the gate is locked on entering and leaving the grounds, this way the only people who will be parked within the grounds when you leave will be those with a current key. Cheers, Nicole

TTT Horse Trials 19th & 20th May at Bulla ARC
If you are interested in being part of a team representing PHRC please contact Pam by email: [email protected] Entries close on the 19th April and Pam must send them in before this date!!
As each team is required to do four hours help at the event, all PHRC riders must supply a volunteer helper . If you do not supply a helper and share the load, you will not be allowed to enter as this isn’t fair

Show Offs!
For Weekend rally lesson bookings, call Debbie on 5978 8678. Lessons are sometimes full a week prior so book early.
Riders who book in for Showjumping are required to help set up at 9am and also pack up at 12.30pm.
Our rallies are open to members from outside HRCAV clubs. PHRC mem-bers take priority until Thursday prior to the rally. If you haven’t booked in prior you may be disappointed.
Rally duty helpers can ride for free on the day of their duty, but must ride outside their duty time. Front desk must be manned at all times.
Rally duty helpers can swap their times or days with other members if un-able to do duty at the time allocated. If you swap, please contact Debbie to confirm this.
If members have ideas for rallies, or an instructor you’d like to have, please let the duty officer know or come along to a committee meeting.
Riders who ring and cancel from rally after the Wednesday prior without a good reason may be billed for the lesson. The instructors are confirmed at this point, so the club has to pay even if there is only one rider! If you can-cel early enough we may be able to fill your spot with someone else and you wont be required to pay.
