Every note played Lisa Genova 5 Another intersting and informative novel about serious issues

Exit Strategy Steve Hamilton 5

This is the sequel to "The Second Life of Nick Mason" This story

continues where the last one left us wanting more. Thrilling,

intricate plotting, and twists and turns galore! Not for the faint

of heart, this book is violent and graphic but not gratuitously so.

Howl for it

Shelly Lawston /

Cynthia Eden 5

HRH Danielle Steel 5

Hum if you don't know the

words Bianca Marais 5 WELL written

Hunger Games Trilogy Suzanne Collins 5

Instead of just doing a separate review of each of the three

books in this series, I thought I would just put them all together

into one because I find it hard to separate one book from the

others. Even though it is hard to picture Katniss Everdeen

without thinking of the great Jennifer Lawrence, this is a

heroine who accomplishes a lot before she even reaches the

age of 18. These books go through her terrible journey of

having to be in a world where she is forced to kill people for

other people's entertainment, and then gets caught in a war

and be the heroine she doesn't really want to be. I loved these

books, but I thought the love triangle between her, Gale, and

Peeta was ridiculous, but if you haven't read these books by

now, you definitely should!

1st to die James Patterson 4

Throughout the novel Patterson strove for a surprise ending.

Unfortunately, he didn't achieve his aspuration. However, this is

my 1st Patterson, and I've started a 2nd

6 Sucked Stories Mathew Reilly 4 Fun

A Case of Syrah, Syrah Nancy J. Parra 4 Good for a light mystery and quick read.

A flicker of doubt Tim Myers 4 Will read more

A man without breath Philip Kerr 4

A Moment Like This George 4

A moveable feast Ernest Hemingway 4 Gives insight into a very creative era

A touch of scarlet Renee Ryan 4 Nice relaxing reading

A Wrinkle in Time Madeleine L'Engle 4

I read the 50th anniversary edition and really enjoyed the

afterword written by her granddaughter and her Newberry

acceptance speech, it clarified some of the things I enjoyed and

disliked about the story.

Accused : a Rosato and

Associates novel Lisa Scottoline 4 good reaD

After Her Joyce Maynard 4

Nice feeling for bond with a sister. Two different personalities

grow up together, share events.

Agnes Peter Stamm 4 Realism at its best

Alias Grace Margaret Atwood 4

I watched the miniseries first, and then read the book second,

just so I could understand what was going on first. This is

definitely a book I recommend! Grace Marks is a mystery

wrapped in an enigma because you do not know if what she

says is true, and also if she is guilty of the crime she

committed. What also shocked me is that the characters and

the crime that took place actually happened in real life. If you

like mysteries, a puzzle without a solution, and a book that

makes you think and doesn't give you answers, this is the book

for you!

An Irish Country Wedding Patrick Taylor 4 Love the Irish Sayings

Another day, another Dali Sandra Orchard 4 Intersting author, 1st time read

I love westerns, the characters, the vernacular, the morals.

I wish there was a four and a half star rating for this book. A

heartwarming and sometimes heartbreaking story that captures

the reader from the first chapter and keeps you wanting to keep

reading about the journey of this family.

big girl panties is a amusing bit of fluff that entertains without

Bird's Eye View Elinor Florence 4

I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more works by

this Canadian author. A young Saskatchewan girl eagerly joins

the war effort, only to become disillusioned by the destruction.

When tragedy strikes, she struggles to move forward,

eventually finding the strength within herself. I just finished

reading about the life of Churchill during the war years,so

perhaps the previous book helped enhance and bring this

entire story to life.

I really enjoyed this story. The story begins at the end of the

second world war in Britain. A brother and sister, two teenaged

who are left in the care of an unlikey caregiver, when the

parents are suddenly called out of the country for a year. The

man who boards in the family's attic becomes guardian along

with a diverse cast of characters who drop by the house at all

hours, making themselves quite at home. Lies are discovered,

which prompts the question, why all of the deceit? Questions

will be answered, only to bring about even more questions. The

story unfolds in surprising and sometimes shocking ways.

food and medicine today.

not.

Having said that; I didn't make it very far into this book.

An author has to have a writing style which flows; and/or

characters that draw me in.

I did not find this the case with this book.

Prisoner of Kelsey House V. J. Banis 2 Not usually my type of subject, but okay for a change

Rugged Texas Cowboy Lora Leigh 2

Not really sure how this two books in one qualifies as a cowboy

story. Near as i can tell there is next to no portrayal of cowboy

life or more importantly values. The second story was just plain

weird; I can't decide whether the author was trying for a

supernatural romance and then could commit at the last minute

or what.

Rugged Texas Cowboy Lora Leigh 2

Two in one romance. Not very well written. Plot for second book

is implausible.

Something borrowed, somone

dead M C Beaton 2

The Cast Danielle Steel 2 The story just plods along and is very predictable.

The Dream Lover Elizabeth Berg 2

Complicated flow in storyline and too much back and forth in

the time line

The Good Fight Danielle Steel 2

Danielle Steele stories are becoming boring and predictable. I

long for her style back in her beginning years where her stories

could make you weep with joy or sadness.

the Marriage Pact Linda Lael Miller 2

I liked the plot of this book. Little sister marries brothers best

friend is something everyone can relate to.

The measure of the moon Lisa Preston 2

She made the boys voice too young (audio book). Just didn't

like it

The Sunshine Sisters Jane Green 2

At times I found this novel to be quite slow, in fact I skipped

several full pages at different times throughout. The storyline

itself was interesting enough, but probably not a book I will be

recommending.

The Theory of Death Faye Kellerman 2

Good story but too much mathematics theory and analysis that

was very time-consuming and, I felt, didn't add to the story

line. Kellerman is usually better than this.

Too much Temptation Lori Foster 2 A fun read. I liked the plot.

When violence is the answer Tim Larkin 2 Very American, very current

WILD MAN CREEK ROBINCARR 2

A GOOD LOVE STORY BOY MEETS GIRL AFTER CRISES IN

THEIR LIVES, FIND A NEW LIFE ,SOPPY AND SEXY.

INTERESTING CHARACTERS TO FILL OUT THE STORY . AN

EASY SUMMER READ

Drain the Swamp Ken Buck 1 Bor...ing|

Fortress of Dragons C J Cherryl 1 not for me, do like her other series

Fortress of owls C J Cherryl 1

Night Watch Linda Fairstein 1

Something Wicked This Way

Comes Ray Bradbury 1

Wished I had left it behind at the library--hated the torturous

dialogue and snail's pace of the unfolding plot. Best thing about

the book was the author's commentary of how he came to write

the book.

The Blind Man of Seville Robert Wilson 1

The body in the boudoir K Hall Page 1 too many materialistic allusions (USA)

the little old lady who broke all

the rules

Catharina Ingelman-

Sundberg 1 Maybe it lost something in translation

The Road Narrows Lee Henderson 1

I just couldn't get into the book. Didn't care for the writing

style or subject matter. I have read this author before and

liked the book. I may have been interesting further on but the

beginning didn't hook me.
