Business NeedTo stay ahead of the competition, the client had decided to overhaul its existing mission critical systems. After a thorough assessment of its IT environment the client decided

Implementation of Oracle R12 Apps to integrate the various manufacturing plants and supply chain Modules involved

Hexaware choose to put together a strong 18 member team to undertake this complex upgrade. It used it’s proprietary SPEED methodology which is built on best practices that have been distilled from decade old experience in PeopleSoft Upgrades to make sure it brought the TCO down by significant margin.

This methodology helped Hexaware to successfully address the challenge of incorporating routine scope changes while ensuring minimum downtime.

Using the SPEED methodology the whole project into manageable phases and thus minimizing the project risk. The project was divided into the following phases

• Perform technical upgrade of PeopleSoft Financials v8.8 to PeopleSoft Financials v9.1 and PeopleTools v8.49 to v8.50• Provide PS ADMIN support for Upgrade• Perform fit-gap analysis during assessment phase• Retrofit client’s existing PeopleSoft Financials customization based on Keep / Drop Decisions• Provide technical support to client during SIT and UAT Phase.

• Assessment Phase: It included System Study, Compare Report Analysis & Fit/Gap Analysis• Upgrade Phase: It included upgrading application to higher version• Implementation and Test Phase: It included retrofitting online and batch customizations, preparation of unit test plan and unit testing• SIT & UAT Phase: It included Test script creation, User training and providing fixes for defects/gaps• GO LIVE and Post Production Support Phase: It included Bug fixes/defect fixes post production
