December is my favorite month! It is such a special time to be in an elementary

school. Our students and staff are excited and there are several fun events

planned. Please see our calendar on the last page for our December events.

The second round of parent/teacher conferences will be held on Friday, December

8th. You can sign up using Sign-up Genius or contact your child’s teacher. Our

annual winter concert will be held on Wednesday, December 13th at 6:00 p.m.

Our students have been practicing hard and are excited to share their talents.

Thanks to Ms. Walker and Mr. Lindberg for all of their efforts!

Congratulations to all our students for their hard work during the first marking

period. Please take note over the next few pages of all the students who had

perfect attendance, made the honor roll, and earned General of the Quarter

recognition. We are proud of them!

Family time during the holidays is important. I hope you are able to do lots of fun

family-centered activities over the break. As someone with grown children, I can

tell you how precious these times are. Best wishes for a restful and joyous

holiday season!

Classroom Parent Rosters

Pershing Hill PTA is putting together parent rosters for each classroom so that parents will be able to better communicate and keep in touch with other parents in their child’s classroom.

With the busy lives that all Pershing Hill families face, this will provide a wonderful opportunity for parents to reach out to one another for a variety of reasons, whether that is to discuss community resources (i.e. after

school activities and/or other shared interests) or to extend birthday invitations.

Each roster will contain the student’s first name and last initial, email address AND/OR phone number, and the first name and last initial of each parent/guardian. It is important to note that the contact list will only be

available to families who sign up to be part of the classroom roster (this information will not be shared between classes).

PTA membership is not required in order to participate in the classroom parent rosters. Parents/guardians

may request to be deleted from the roster at any time. Classroom rosters will be updated as new families sign up and when families are deleted.

It is the PTA’s hope that the parent roster will assist in helping promote positive community relations. If you are interested in being a part of your child’s classroom parent roster, please fill out the information below.

Once all of the forms have been turned in, an email containing the classroom roster will be sent to the email address listed below.

We are asking that all forms be submitted no later than December 15th. Thank you!
