Courses provided at UCP help students acquire knowledge and skills relevant to local businesses, industries and public services. The University Centrealso provides services direct to the business community, aiding innovation, product and servicedevelopment and the ‘up-skilling’ of the local workforce. Our portfolio of courses is constantlybeing revised and updated to take account of theemerging needs and aspirations of our local market.

At UCP we are proud of our achievements and these successes are attributed to:

• Degree success - Classifications remain high, with 13% of the 2012/13 BA (Hons) English Literature graduates receiving a First-Class Honours and 70% achieving a 2:1

• Employability - Our progression rates into employment or higher study are high with many students working in their chosen fields and developing their CV’s alongside their studies

• National Student Survey results – The BSc (Hons) Computing and Information Studies achieved a 96% satisfaction rate in 2013

• Supportive environment - We are dedicated to your success and will do everything in our power to help you achieve your goals. Whether you need some extra help with your studies or just a supportive ear before and during your time with us, we have a number of dedicated members of staff to help you.

The ultra modern and contemporary £10 million University Centre located on Peterborough RegionalCollege grounds, in a joint venture with Anglia RuskinUniversity, has a specially designed 92 seat lecturetheatre, a range of multi-purpose/size seminar andteaching rooms, state-of-the-art computer rooms, acafe and several social areas. In addition, those onJournalism and Media degrees have access to thestate-of-the-art Media and Journalism Satellite Centre.

Kayleigh Nicholls, Foundation Degree in Early Years, Playwork and Education student:

“UCP was the best place for me to study as I live locally, so it allows me to study alongside workingand raising a family. All the staff are friendly andsupportive and the classes are small compared totraditional routes which means everyone gets moresupport and guidance than in a larger university.

Many of the students here are mature students andwith them they bring lots of experience from different areas, which benefit everyone in the class. The facilities at UCP are great: the library has lots ofresources and if there’s ever anything you can’t find, the staff there are always very helpful and knowledgeable and help you find what you’re looking for”.
