A Systematic Approach to Patient Engagement WITH Patients

Early involvement may create highest impact, but involvement today is mostly at late phase

Less focus on the red lines (way faded than they are now). Focus should be on the "triangles" (current Patient involvement and Impact on patients") Visually we need to try and show that impact on patients is higher if you get involved earlier. Any suggestions?

Small green - patient recruitment A little bit more on trial (no green in first 2 segments)
Roxana Radu
I would still add a very thin line in the first two quadrants (very thin)

Multiple fragmentation

Not a sequence (remove arrow) & make it bigger

We need a visual showing the American and European continent coming together (eg - just a little bit of sea between them instead of an ocean) + a recognizable symbol of Christopher Columbus discovering America (like his ship crossing the tiny sea from Europe towards US)
Roxana Radu
Europe and US are getting closer (Pangea style) - almost uniting (way too close compared to reality) - Pangea style Ship - separately (or on the ground) - focus more on the continents
Roxana Radu
I think this is a step forward. What I would do to slightly improve it: - The boat should be bigger (it should be the Christopher Columbus boat) and in the bottom right corner- I would make the map bigger- I would fade out Canada somehow- add the Made with patient label and the PFMD logo (as in the classic PFMD template)
Roxana Radu
The previous image was much more suggestive (the barbed wire)
Roxana Radu
The idea is to show here a tiny boat overwhelmed by waves (think a fisherman boat in a tsunami)

About PFMD

Goal is to advance a consistent approach to meaningful patient engagement, through co-creation and implementation of an efficient, measurable and reliable meta-framework that integrates the voice of the patient across the medicines lifecycle.

Established in October 2015 as an open, independent global coalition of stakeholders managed by a not-for-profit organization.

•“Co-creation”isaboutencouragingfair and open participation andqualityinputbasedonexperienceandpersonalinsightsofall stakeholders (researchers, clinicaldevelopers, regulators, healthcareprofessionalsandpatients)toensurewedeliversignificantanddesired outcomes wherethevoiceofeachstakeholderisequally embeddedinfinaloutputs”
