Pharmaplus Nigeria Limited was founded in 1992 and incorporated as a private limited th

liability company under the Companies and Allied Matters Act of 1990 on 4 March

1993; RC 217267 and at the same time registered with Pharmacists Council of

Nigeria under the provisions of PCN Decree 91 of 1992. It is an indigenous Pharmaceutical

company with specific objective of improving the health and wellbeing of people by

providing high quality products and services in Nigeria and the whole of West African Sub-

region.

1. PHARM. AHMED I. YAKASAI, FPSN, FNIM, FNAPharm, FPCPharm – Chairman/Managing Director

Ahmed I Yakasai is an accomplished Pharmacist/independent Consultant with comprehensive background in Pharmaceutical fields and International Marketing with bias in Search and Social Media Marketing and Public-Private Partnerships. He has a long distinguished career in various fields of Pharmacy, Healthcare Research and Regulatory Affairs with over 36 years experience.

He is the Immediate Past President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) 2015-2018.

He obtained his first degree in Pharmacy from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1983) and so many Postgraduate courses including International Marketing (search and social media marketing- 2014/2015 from University of Salford, Manchester, UK.

Ahmed worked variously in both public and private sectors: Two terms Commissioner in Kano State. First, he was Commissioner of Commerce, Industry, Cooperatives and

Tourism (2005-2010) and was redeployed to the Ministry of Land and Physical Planning (2010-2011).

He is a Founder and chairman/Managing Director of Pharmaplus Nigeria Ltd. Also a Founder and Chairman, Safe Medicines Foundation. Ahmed is a Board Member/Trustee, Society for Family Health (SFH), 2004- to date, Independent Director, NEM Insurance Plc, Chairman, Board of Directors, Evans Baroque (Owners of Evans Medical Plc) and Board member of Nigerian Association of Pharmacists and Pharmaceutical Scientists in the Americas (NAPPSA).

He is a Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Fellow of Institute of Logistics Management of Nigeria, Fellow of Chartered Institute of Commerce, Fellow of Nigeria Academy of Pharmacy, Fellow of the West African Postgraduate College of Pharmacists, Fellow of Nigerian Institute of Management, Fellow of Professional Excellence Foundation of Nigeria etc.

2. Dr Auwalu Sani Ibrahim, PhD, MBA – Director/GM

He is a management scientist and business administrator. He obtained his first degree in Business Management from Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto and subsequently went to Bayero University Kano for MBA and Msc Management. He also obtained his PhD Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.He is member Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He joined Pharmaplus Nigeria Ltd in 1993 rose through the ranks to General Manager.A diligent and highly intelligent to compete basic and moderately difficult situations and team work spirit.

3. Sesan Kareem – AGM, SALES & MARKETING (SOUTH)

Sesan Kareem is a distinguished Pharmacist, Wellness Expert, prolific Author, certified Trainer, public Administrator, management Consultant, and master Motivator.

Sesan is a catalyst for GROWTH and an inspiration for personal fulfilment. He is a UK-published, EU-copyrighted and Amazon-marketed Author who has written 7 life-transforming books.

Sesan Kareem is an EXPERT freelance Trainer of London Professional Training Centre (LPTC), Nigeria. A certified Leadership, Management and SME personnel by Global Leadership Training Institute, Nebraska, Omaha, and an alumnus of Daystar Leadership Academy (DLA), Lagos. He holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Olabisi Onabanjo

Sesan serves as a board member of Haven Leadership Academy, Safe Medicines Foundation, and Mareek Image Concepts.

A wellness and healthy living facilitator of Industrial Training Fund (ITF). SK served as the personal assistant to the President of Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (2015-2018). He is currently as an Assistant General Manager, Marketing, Pharmaplus Nigeria Limited. He is a columnist in pharmanews, the oldest health magazine in West Africa (Published since 1979). His articles have featured in many national and international tabloids.

4. Abdullahi Haruna Kwaru, MBA- GM, Admin/Public SectorKwaru obtained his first degree in B.A History/Hausa from Bayero University Kano in 1983 and followed with Post graduate Diploma in Management from University of Jos in 1986/87, and M.B.A from Bayero University Kano in 1997.

He attended many courses in Computer, Export promotion, Conflict Resolution, Corporate Social Responsibility and Human Resource Management among others.

He started his civil service career in the ministry of commerce as commercial officer

in 1984 and rose to the Position of Director of Commerce in 2008 through career progression, and subsequently appointed as Permanent Secretary in the same Ministry in July 2010.

He voluntarily retired from service in April 2016 at the position of permanent Secretary of Civil Service Commission and joined Pharmaplus Nig. Limited Kano as GM, Admin/Public Sector

5. Sunusi Muhammed- Financial Controller

He is an economist and a banker and a graduate of Bayero University Kano with Bsc Economics in 2004. He was Acting Branch Manager, Head of Marketing and Head Personal Banking with Ecobank Nigeria Ltd from 2013-2016. And served as head of Marketing with Oceanic Bank Plc, 2008-2011, before the merger. I also worked briefly in Unity Bank Plc, 2008.

Sunusi worked under HUCE/PACE Ghain Project on HIV/AIDS under PEPFER, st2006-2007 and now Financial Controller in Pharmaplus Nigeria Ltd from 1

September 2018 to date.

Hajara was born into Savage family in Lagos state and did her primary school and high school in Lagos state. She obtained her degree, Bsc Political Sciences from Bayero University Kano. He joined Pharmaplus Nigeria Ltd immediately after her NYSC in Kaduna state with ministry of agriculture.

7. Hajara Zakari - Accountant

Hajara is a gifted lady with skills in accounting and computer software application. She obtained Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Admin and Management from Kano State Polytecnic. She started work with Pharmaplus Nigeria Limited in 2004 as an Account officer and now as a Manager/Accountant

8. ZAINAB MUHAMMAD BELLO – Company Secretary/Communication

Zainab is highly self motivated and result driven. Take a keen interest in current trends and always want to be part of success.

Zainab obtained National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Cooperative Economics and Management Certificates from Kano State Polytechnic.

She worked in Airtel Nigeria, Multiplus Resources Ltd, Mojack Business Centre and Masana Computers before joining Pharmaplus in 2013.

9. NAZIRU NURA LAWAN- Marketing Manager

Naziru is a qualified marketer with National Diploma and Higher National Diploma certificates from Kano State Polytechnic. He joined Pharmaplus in 2005 as a Sales Representative and promoted to Marketing Manager in 2014.

10. KELVIS KELLY EMEKA - SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Kelly is a committed and energetic Sales and Distribution professional with experience and success in field sales.

He obtained a degree in Mathematics in 2015 from Kano University of Science and Technology, Wudil and Postgraduate Diploma from Federal College of Education, Kano in 2017.

He was a sales representative with Oak- Faith and Worldwide Commercial Ventures Ltd as a sale s Officer, Kano.

Kelly joined Pharmaplus Nigeria Ltd in 2017 as a sales representative.
