Young Relationships
+MY MAIN QUETSION
“Why do you think relationships are a bad idea?”
Be biased so you can gain more information from your interviewee. Create an argument for
the interviewee so they can provide a strong opinion.
Starting with ‘Why’ is allowing them to explain their opinion on my question. Starting with a
negative question people would be very defensive and provide great opinions.
+Context Outline Asking a range of open and multiple questions to the
interviewee, this is so I have more than one answer and allows them to provide an opinion.
I will then go an talk to interviewee's older to find out their opinions on the issue and also ask them to provide any advise or help to the audience listening.

MOOD BOARD
+Journalistic Context Capital Xtra The slot I will be inserted in is ‘Abrantree’ - aimed at
people who are making their way home from school/work
Talks about different issues that can relate to the target audience 16-30
4pm- 8pm every Thursday The interview will start at 5:30pm and last for 10
minutes
+Target Audience 16-18 Teenagers/young adults In the experimental years of life The demographic of my audience is ‘the explorer’ teenagers who
want to explore in their young years. As teenagers are at the exploring stage, this would be a great interview to find out why and how they will explore this issue.
Channels such as; Channel 4, E4, BBC Three etc. TV shows such as; Big bang theory, how I met your mother, some
girls etc. Radio stations such as; Kiss, Capital, Capital Xtra, etc. Hobbies are; football, basketball, listening to music, going out with
friends, relaxing, shopping, eating food etc.
+Primary Research Here is a screen shot of the questionnaire I created to find out first hand information on what people think of young relationships.
I would be asking a range of both genders as well as ages 16+; reason for this is to have a wider range of opinions rather than just students I will be asking teachers, parents.
+ Do you think teen pregnancies are common in younger rela-
tionships rather than older re-lationships?
Yes No

What age do you think is the right age to be in a relationship?
+Secondary Research
750,000 teens become pregnant each year – the vast majority of these pregnancies unintended (82%) http://www.advocatesforyouth.org/publications/1909-unintended-pregnancy-among-young-people-in-the-united-states
Reasons why young relationships do not last: young people change, teenagers tend to get ‘bored’ quicker, if you have to move away e.g. Move out for university, not mature enough to be in a relationship.
+Equipment Needed/refreshments Flip camera (choice 1) SLR camera- for better quality(choice 2) Microphone – to record the interview will be filming outside the school and around other
