From Tannersville – Take 611 to Route 715 S. heading toward Lehighton, bear slightly left staying on Route 715 S. You
will travel 12.14 miles on this road. The Township Park Building is on your right.
From Stroudsburg – Merge onto I80-US 209 S. toward Lehighton. Turn right onto PA 715/ Creek Road at the WaWa.
The Park Building is on the left about ½ mile. From Lehighton or the PA. Turnpike follow Route 209 toward
Stroudsburg for about 16.5 miles to Route 715. Turn left - in about ½ mile the Park Building will be on the left.

cancelled. If there is a 2 hour delay there will be a meeting.

-Gold paint of your choice (I used Jo Sonja’s Rich
Gold)
-Krylon 18kt. Gold Leafing Pen (for doing edges)
- 6” x 8” piece of heavy canvas (available at Fine Art
Supply stores)-makes 2 holders
*Optional- DecoArt Gold Glitz Glamour Dust, 6 self
stick red 6mm rhinestones
*(I will have the Dust and Rhinestones in your packet
for you).
Brushes/supplies- small flats (I used a Maureen
McNaughten #8 shader for everything), #0 & #1
liner, #3 round brush. Sharp scissors.
PREP-
Paint both front and back of your canvas piece Black
When dry apply basic pattern lines-(do not cut out
design until after it’s painted)
Base beak- True Red
Base Holly- Black Green
Base Pinecone- Dark Chocolate
Pull center stems of Pine branches w/Dark
Chocolate- using a liner brush.
Apply detailed pattern lines

Report from Eddiejo Herbst on the Pocono Art Collage at the Monroe Campus
of Northampton Area Comm. College
Current show is “All About Animals” showing now thru Jan 29, 2015. Representing Pocono Painters is Darleen
Hyde. If you haven’t stopped by to see the display then it’s worth the effort to see all 6 representatives from the
various arts groups representing the Pocono area. The show is in the Dunning Gallery in Keystone Hall, it’s the
main hall at the college. Pick up date to pick up your paintings at the end of the show is Jan 29 from 10am-5pm.
Spring 2016 Show – Feb 8 thru May 26, titled “ Living The Good Life” an Environmental Show. This show will
represent environmental themes, landscapes, nature, etc. In other words, most anything can fit. So, if you might
want to submit a painting or two we are able to submit 10 painters at the most for this show. My deadline for

Report of ‘Pocono Art Collage continued …….
submission is Dec. 16th. So, let me know ASAP if you have a painting you would like to submit for this show.
Drop off dates for art pieces are Jan 25-26 at the college. An Opening Reception is set for Friday, March 4 from
5:30-7pm,snow date is March 11. Pick up date to pick up your painting at the end of the show is May 31
or June 1.
Summer 2016 Show – 2nd Annual “Pocono Art Collage” from June 13 thru Aug. 15. This show is just like the
fall show where 10 artists are from each Pocono Art Groups for a total of 60 artists represented. Any paintings or
3D pieces are accepted, no specific theme. Pocono Painters will have the ability to have up to 10 folks from our
group represented.
The Community College is working hard to help the various Arts Groups from the Pocono Area to be represented
and give us a voice. Please consider entering one of your pieces in one of these upcoming shows in 2016.
