A podcast is a type of digital media consisting of an episodic series of audio radio, video, PDF, or ePub files subscribed to and downloaded through web syndication or streamed online to a computer.

Provide instructions for substitutes. Create school announcements. Assign collaborative student projects. Provide audio of classroom instruction

for absent students or students who need additional time

Brainstorm ideas Rehearse presentations Obtain missed class lectures Final presentations Collaborative class assignments Explain math or science processes

Plan- Choose the topic of your podcast. Produce – Create your podcast using an

audio software. Patience – Take your time to create

your podcast it may take several “takes” to get it right.

Publish – Post your podcast to a hosting site.

I think that podcasts are great for auditory learners and another way to conduct listening centers.  I generally use iTunes to play music and I never thought it could be used as an educational tool. 

On a more personal level, I think I would use podcasts to learn a foreign language and I even found fitness related podcasts.  I am very interested in utilizing podcasts more frequently.
