MontageDescription: The purpose of this project is to design an inspirational poster using a

mixture of pictures that blend together.

    Programs: Adobe Photoshop

    Date: May 31, 2014

    Course/Instructor:Comm. 130 - Emily Kunz

    Objectives:

Design an inspirational poster using a mixture of pictures that blend together.Use t

FOCUS design process with strong focal point and flow

Unify a layout with a consistent theme and dominant messageLearn to blend two or more images together gradually, using masks

Use a mask to apply a filter to one part of the image

Process: The process begins by obtaining the photos that will be used. Then the pho

are edited in Adobe Photoshop with the basic tools such as sharpening, vibrance, se

tive coloring, and levels. Then, open the main background photo while in photosho

and crop it to 11in x 8.5 in. After that, another photo is opened and using the lasso

tool, the image is selected and then it can be moved over on the main image. The sa

process is done with any additional images. Those images are then resized while hol

ing the shift button to maintain the proportions of the image. Then, the paintbrush

can now be used. In order to blend the images, the layer must have the mask button

applied. Then set the opacity to 100 and remove the hard edges. Then reduce it low

(maybe 30) and blend in the full image. After the images have been blended, the po

can be designed further by adding additional text.
