Shore Great Oak High School PORTFOLIO SPECIFICATIONS Your portfolio is record of -- “where you were, where you are, and where you are going.” It is a unique statement about your goals, abilities and learning. You will keep a portfolio in a 3-ring binder that is to remain in the classroom until you have completed the portfolio at the conclusion of the course. The portfolio will have the following eight sections: Conceptual Understanding & Procedural Fluency, Critical Thinking, Communication, Construction of Models, Creativity, and Collaboration: These sections demonstrate your mathematical skills and abilities. Each of your concept problems, projects, and original works are to be placed within the section that you believe best represents what you have learned from that particular endeavor. Assessment: This section will consist of a self-evaluation, including a list of goals and skills, and a parent evaluation of your portfolio. Miscellaneous: Extra assignments, works in progress, and supplies may be kept here. Concepts & Procedures - I get it. Critical Thinking - I can figure it out. Construct Models - I can represent it. Communication - I can share it intelligently Creativity - I can make it unique. Collaboration - I can play nice Assessment - I can reflect on it. Miscellaneous - I'm still working on it. The various components of the portfolio will be checked periodically, although the completed portfolio will not be due until the end of the course. The portfolio is a pass/fail endeavor, so professionalism is imperative.

Your portfolio is record of -- “where you were, where you are, and where you are going.” It is a unique statement about your goals, abilities and learning. You will keep a portfolio in a 3-ring binder that is to remain in the classroom until you have completed the portfolio at the conclusion of the course. The portfolio will have the following eight sections: Conceptual Understanding & Procedural Fluency, Critical Thinking, Communication,
