The 17th Exhibition for Electrical Equipment covered all areas related to power production, transfer and distribution. The 8th GCC – Cigre International Conference provided a specific platform and opportunity for the various parties in the power sector that discussed the issues and challenges that were faced in the region.

GCC Power 2012 was hosted by Sultanate of Oman; their power sector had a lot of improvement and entered a new stage of development, followed by the launching of Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (OPWP). A signifi-cant increase in the demand of power and waterin the Sultanate.

For another great opportunity and to learn more about the latest developments in the power sector for this year event GCC Power 2013 will be in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The topics that were discussed related to electrical power with more than 75 technical papers, 2 tracks for the con-ference, and more than 284 professionals who attended from GCC and other Arab countries.
