Why Recollect?The term Recollect simply means to remember and I think it’s an appropriate name as it links to the main purpose of my magazine which is to educate and remind the audience about classic pop

In my opinion the name is short and also quite catchy so it becomes very hard to forget for the readers.

Music Genre That I Chose…

My Inspiration?

With the help of my case study magazines ( Classic pop) & (Jazzwise) I was able to decide on what genre of music to focus on.I chose Classic Pop because I have recently done some research on the magazine and I also have a clear understanding on it.However Classic Pop is a type of genre that isn’t noticed as much as it is usually mistaken to be only targeted at a older audience.

How Is My Magazine Different?My magazine is going to be different to the rest because there aren’t many classic pop magazines out on the market at the moment. This would mean that my magazine would do well financially as more people would purchase it. Also its going to be a new and authentic magazine which would be a refreshing change from the rest.

Target Audience

The primary audience of my magazine are young or middle aged females that are into pop artists such as Kylie Minogue and Lana Del Rey. I’ve also kept in mind the tertiary audience which is males that might be interested in the 2 pop artists featured.

Publishers?The company that I’ve chosen is Egmont as it has a lot of experience and it has recently become a world-leading media organization in more than 30 countries. The publication as mentioned has a lot of experience which means it would guide my magazine in the right path and in the long run it will contribute to it becoming known.

Layout

Focusing on a monochrome color scheme- to stick to the audience of the magazine with a vibrant masthead to attract the readers.
