TABLE SETTING FAIR

The Table Setting Fair is Oct. 29th “My Country Tis of Thee” is the theme. As in the past, this fundraiser supports 2 charities: the local on is for the Lutheran Social Services Homeless Teens program. There are many teens in our community that rely on services at this point in their lives and we want to support them. The other is the Covenant denominations project to end human trafficking.

AWANAS

Every Wednesday 6-7:30 is AWANA night at FCC. It’s not too early to think about joining the team. Listen to the nudge of the Holy Spirit. He just might be asking you to help. September 14th is our first night– Please pray for our Clubbers and Leaders. Just a thought– it is easier to teach a child then to fix an adult. We want our Clubbers to know God’s word at an early age!

Hey Clubbers!! Awana registration is August 21st 6-7pm. Clubbers must come with an adult. There will be games to play and treats to celebrate the start of Awana. Bring Friends!

WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIGHT SUPPER

Light Supper starts September 14th. Super is serve 5pm-6pm and follow a rotating themed menu each month (pasta, meat on a bun, tacos, soup/chili) Sign up and $2.50 per person ($10 per family 4 or more) is required for each meal. Everyone is welcome, so please sign up or call church office (235-3010) before the Tuesday of each weekly meal with name and number of diners. Sign up sheet is available at each meal and by the church office door.

WORSHIP CHIOR BEGINS SOON

HONOR THE BADGE...AND THE PEOPLE BEHIND IT

Sunday, September 11th marks the 15 year anniversary of attacks on our great nation. In response to the events of the last few months, Faith@Work is sponsoring a celebration of our area Law Enforcement Officers. Please join us on Sunday, September 11th at Robins Island at 4:30pm as we pray over and thank our local officers.

RIDGEWATER CAMPUS MINISTRY

Another school year is about to begin. The church’s love, support and influence on a young person’s life can make all the difference. If you’re being called to help serve in this ministry, check out this weeks E-newsletter for more details.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT WORSHIP WITH BECCA G.

Wednesday, August 24th come join Becca Gardner for a time of worship from 6:30-7:30 pm @ FCC, then fellowship together after! Open to all ages!

REVOLUTION

Wednesday, August 31st REVOLUTION youth ministry will be having a leaders meeting at FCC 6pm followed by a 30min parent meeting at 7:30 pm! Come find out about DC, JH and SH ministries and have questions you need answers for! We will also have a fall/winter calendar to take home! (DC parents will also get a DC schedule and books for the year.)

TODAY AT FCC

Christianity is the only religion that stakes the entire weight of its

credibility on a historical event– the resurrection of Jesus Christ. What do you believe? You see…..without the resurrection, everything that came

before and after is sort of irrelevant. Why else would Paul say, “If Christ had not been raised, your faith is

futile, “ in 1 Corinthians 15:17? You see….the resurrection is what sets

Christianity apart!

Becca Gardner is home and will be giving us an update of her work with Youth for Christ in Colombia, South

America.

Also, Sean Hoffbeck from Alaska Christian College will be here to

update us as well as we look ahead to ALASKA 2017!

WILLMAR ALPHA

We could still use a couple more people to help us run Alpha this fall. Could it be that God is calling you to impact a generation? It’s not too late to join us for prayer at 6:30 these next two Monday evenings, followed by training at 7 p.m.

And for all of us—let’s pray and think of all those we know—at work or school, in your neighborhood or in our community, or among your family members—who have not yet found salvation and a living relationship with Jesus Christ. Questions? Contact Pastor Steve Eng at 320-808-4358 or [email protected].
