Dear Friends, Every year at this time Presentation holds an Annual Dinner to celebrate our parish and recognize members of our parish and school who have stood out for their service to our Presentation community. With our school hosting the event, all proceeds would go to help offset tuition and build up our school endowment fund.

This year’s honorees are Nic Windeshausen, Robert Jungk and Jordan Ruiz. Nic Windeshausen has been a faithful member of Presentation since 1962. He served as a member of the Religious Edu-cation Committee from 1970-1979, serving as President for two of those years from 1977-1979. He has been a member of the School Board, served as a Eucharistic Minister, worked on all Campaign Fund Drives since 1963 and has been a Legion of Mary member since 2013. Robert Jungk has been an incredible asset to the school and parish. He has volunteered his time to teach advanced Math for the last 6 years and expanded the 8th grade area of study to include geometry. Some of the ways he assisted the school include: training the Logic Team for the decathlon, substitute teaching, standardized testing resource, Mission Effectiveness mentor and National History Day Judge. Jordan Ruiz was instrumental in the formation of Presentation Parish’s own Knights of Columbus Council. He served two terms as Grand Knight and under his enthusiastic leadership, Presentation’s Knights of Columbus grew quickly and has established itself as a tremendous resource in our Parish Community. Jordan is a faithful Catholic who typically attends Holy Mass at 8am on Sunday’s with his wife Amelia and their growing family. Please come support these individuals and celebrate the life of our parish on the evening of November 19. Tickets are on sale after all Masses and in the school or parish office. I wish to thank and express my gratitude to all who have assisted in the renovation of the confessional recently. I am grateful to the members of the Altar Society for their financial support. Thank you also to all those who contributed of their time, talents and treasures to renovate this space in a tangible way. Your commitment and love for the parish com-munity helps us to celebrate our faith in a dignified way and our church building represents our Sacred space where we come to encounter the Lord in the Sacraments. It is my hope that we will always cherish these encounters with the Lord and trust that He will bless all our undertakings to express our love for Him. As we continue our journey of Faith, I will be looking at other ways to enhance our Sacred space in the future. I also want to express my deep gratitude and thank you for all your involvement in various ministries of our parish. Your commitment is essential in living and building our community of faith. Over time there is a need for new members of our parish community to serve, as those who have done so may wish to step down or be involved in other ways in serving our community. I invite you to prayerfully consider the two positions of service that are open. The first position that needs to be filled is on our Parish Financial Council that advises me in managing the financial resources of our parish; the second is the advocate for the Annual Catholic Appeal, which helps to promote efforts to help the poor on the diocesan and parish level. These two positions are important and necessary to fill as soon as possible. If you are interested and wish to be considered, I would ask that you contact me at [email protected] or at 916-481-7441. With God’s Blessings, Fr. Stanley

Pray for the sick in our community, especially: Jan Almay, Anthony Andreozzi, Sue Ashby, Shaun Banagan, Patricia Becker, Theresa Bencken-Garn, Mary Carter, Adolf Cascardo, Eleanor Cates, Michael Cohee, Bill Dunphy, Leilani Fitzgerald, Owen Foley, Patti Fox, Marcy French, Vienna Golsong, Pat Ingram, Dorris John, Robert Johnson, Kimberly Kaufman, Devonne Keevers, John Lal-ly, Mary Largent, Shirley Lauwers, Nilda Medina, Michael Mejia, Lucille Moessinger, Sandy Murphy, Kathy Pfeifer, Randy Qualls, Alex Quiroz, Maryanne Redmond, Pat Riecks, Bridget Ruiz, Mark Skvarla, Reese Sunseri, Marilyn
