Principal’s Message

Dear Parents and Carers, Dear Parents and Carers, Our Kindergarten transition program began this week with 60 students enrolled. It was lovely to see so many exciting young learners ready for their first school experience. The program will continue for the next two Tuesdays. The Kindergarten teachers have organised a most comprehensive program for both incoming Kindergarten students and their parents.

Congratulations to Sachesta S. from 1/2O who won the Stage One District Public Speaking Competition on Monday 24 October. This achievement is extraordinary given the high level of competitive public speakers across schools within the Glenfield district.

Staffing Changes for the remainder of Term 4 Mrs Baker who is the temporary School Administration Manager (SAM) replacing Mrs Taranto, will now be only working Mondays and Tuesdays. Ms Bishop will be the relieving SAM for the rest of the week. We are in the process of employing another office assistant to backfill the remaining 3 day vacancy.

Mrs McDonall is still on leave and as such Miss D’Souza will continue to teach 3/4M.

The school canteen will be reopened under the management of “Healthy Canteens Australia” as soon as a contract has been finalised and signed. Some slight changes have been made to the Community Café events to take place in the Library in Term 4. Below is the updated agenda. Please drop into the library when school begins at 9.00am for some morning tea and information about school programs and events.
