Principal’s Report

THANKYOU

I, along with everyone here at ISC thankyou all for managing and supporting our students during this remote learning time. It will be approximately 12 weeks since the kids have physically been at school which would be longest time they have been away since beginning prep and the impact this may have cannot be underestimated.

You may find your student is:

A bit anxious about returning

Very hard to get out of bed and back into routine

Excited to be getting back and seeing friends and staff

Nervous about the “new normal” and the changes we have made to ensure student safety

Scared for their own health and yours……

Please know we are here to help and support you and your student like we have the past 12 weeks, but we can now do it in a more personalised manner which will be much nicer for everyone. We have a return to school plan and we have been sharing with you on our social media platforms and on XUNO about what the changes mean for you and your student. Please make sure you are all over this and know what is going on. If you need any further information please contact us at school. SCHOOL OWNED DEVICES THAT WERE LOANED OUT MUST BE RETURNED NOW

PLEASE

We ask that all devices along with chargers are returned to school by the end of the day tomorrow (Friday 5th June). Our IT team will be working over the long weekend re-imaging these devices so that they are ready for student use at school on Tuesday. Jo McQuinn Principal

Year 8 & 9 Ceramics

Appreciation to these four boys

Paddy, Ethan, Shaun and Archer are currently completing Certificate II Building and Construction. Normally they would be at the Trade Training Centre each Wednesday however due to Covid, they have only been able to complete theory tasks. 🛠 So… when we asked if they could help out with putting up sanitizer stations, they jumped at the chance to be on the tools again! 🛠 Thanks for your help guys, and thanks to Horko and Gregor for helping out!
