• PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS

5

Artwork (tiles) for Print-at-Home are required to be provided as files idealy no larger than 300kb and saved as either an Illustrator 8 .eps or a 150dpi .png file.

Artwork must cover entire the canvas. Place a white polygon on the underlying layer which covers the artboard dimensions outlined above. Please make sure artwork is trimmed around the edges by using the knife tool (or masking) to ensure artwork does not go beyond the artboard border. See fig 1

In order for your tiles to pass through the Print-at-Home rendering engine smoothly, a summary of guidelines has been put together below.

DODo use vector graphics (points,

lines, curves and polygons).

Do use core system fonts for large amounts of text. These include: Courier, Verdana, Times New Roman, Arial, Georgia.

Do outline fonts if they are part of a logo or tagline.

Do compress text and line art.

DO NOTDo not outline large amounts

of text, this will create lots of ‘points’ in the vector file and increase file size.

Do not embed raster art (jpg, png, bmp etc) into vector art if you are providing an eps. It will massively increase the file size.

Preferred EPS output options

fig .1 make sure tile art is inside the artboard.
