5700 anD 17000 series GaUGe speciFications

The armored design o the gage oers maximm protection

or the sight tbe rom mechanical impact. Three sides

o the gage are protected with a metal rame, while the

ace o the gage is protected with an impact resistant

polycarbonate shield. This shield can be cstom calibrated

to read tank volme or any other desired calibration. Please

see page 12 or standard shield calibration options. A wide

variety o wetted materials and seals are available to ensre

compatibility with whatever fid is being sed. For monting

prposes, a monting lg is welded to the back o the gage.

The 5700 series has 1/2” MNPT x 3/8” FNPT threaded

process connections. 1/2” to 2” fanged process connections

are also available. The standard sight tbe is 5/8” O.D. glass.

Other sight tbe options are also available pon reqest.

The 17000 gage is tted with 1” MNPT process

connections (fanged process connections are also available).

The standard sight tbe is 1” O.D. glass, which makes it

ideal or viscos liqids.

special GaUGe application - cheMical

injection systeMs 

5700 and 17000 gages are sed to calibrate chemical

injection systems. The injection rate o a chemical metering

pmp is checked by closing a valve between the gage and

the chemical storage tank and observing the change in fid

height in one minte. using the rate scale on the ront o

the shield, cont the nmber o marks the fid level passed

dring the one minte test period. This will give yo the

actal chemical pmp rate. I the rate is not the one desired,

make an adjstment to the chemical pmp eed rate, andcondct as many one minte tests as is necessary to set the

chemical pmp to the rate desired.

5700 Bulk Tank Gauge with

Optional Flange Connection

The 5700 and 17000 series gauges are armored liquid level

gauges with NPT or fanged onnetions at eah end. These

gauges provide a visual means or heking the ontents

o a bulk tank. They an also be used to set and monitor

the injetion rate o a hemial metering pump. The gauges

operate in low to medium pressure appliations up to 500 psig.
