An enclosed urine transfer system is designed to offer safe and convenient handling in urine analysis. The system allows a secure transfer of urine specimen from a container into an evacuated tube, ready for direct sampling onto the urine analyser.

The 60ml Container has an integrated needle port for transfer of urine specimen to a tube. The needle is deeply recessed in the screw cap to prevent accidental contact.

Carbapenemase-producing organisms (CPOs) are multidrug-resistant, a growing healthcare problem. They have been shown to be associated with morbidity, mortality and increased care costs. Rapid detection will greatly improve patient management and turnaround in compromised wards.

NG Biotech have developed a lateral-flow immunochromatography assay kit for rapid, accurate and cost-effective detection of resistant strains directly from culture colonies.

The Carba 5 detects all variants from the 5 main Carbapenemase families - NDM, KPC, IMP, VIM and OXA; the CTX-M detects variants of Group I b-lactamase-producing Enterobacteriaceae and the MCR Genes detects the presence of the mcr-type genes causing resistance to colistin antibiotic.
