1. BACKGROUND

The proposal was made in order to provide complete information about the latest

information, to be launched by our team. The name of the magazine is GLAMS, this kind of a

lifestyle magazine or lifestyle themed targeting for teenagers target market for middle up class,

male and female. The magazine will be distributed in the Surabaya region, especially for college

student.

It is expected to provide information and inspiration to readers through a variety of

interesting articles. The articles it contains everything about latest trend, from fashion, music, till

your favorite hangout spot.

To promote the magazine, online promotions will be done as well as launching.

Promotion will be done online through the use of social networking sites like Facebook and

Twitter.

We trust and believe that GLAMS Magazine will be able to attract readers because of the

various benefits and its uniqueness.

II. OBJECTIVES

A. MARKET SHARE

· Segmentation

This magazine has its own strength that could make it become one of the popular

lifestyle magazine, especially for enthusiasts in the world lifestyle.because the magazine presents

what is happening today and really loved. Several other lifestyle magazines to our competitors,

both direct competitors and indirect competitors. The market shares for youth, who are the target

audience of our magazine.

· Targeting

The magazine is targeted to all gender who is a student or young professional, who love

lifestyle world, whether information about culinary, sports, fashion, gadgets, and so on.

Generally they are upper middle class.

· Positioning

This magazine is about lifestyle and contains the latest information and interesting

lifestyle. Another lifestyle magazine that became our indirect competitors such as Esquire and

Cosmopolitan for instances. The difference, both are commercial magazine concept. In content,

these magazines become our competitors, but with non- commercial, this magazine may be

superior to lifestyle magazine concept.

- Limited range of distribution

- Dependence on funding from sponsors or advertising.

- The existence of commercial Lifestyle magazines at a great price.

- People love things that are completely free.

Threat

- Needed a pick up points right away, so that the audience aware of the existence of this

magazine.

- against the community notion about free magazines that mostly contain advertisements

which not good enough.

prizes, and a discussion forum that allows readers or website visitors can interact with each

other.
