It is amazing what God will do when we come together under His purposes. In 2017, He took our small, unified efforts and multiplied them — as only He can — to create a monumental impact through Proverbs 31 Ministries. With joy, we’ve already seen evidence of the incredible things to come in 2018, and beyond.

We have some exciting updates to share with you:

One of our ongoing prayers at Proverbs 31 Ministries is that God would provide for the ministry in direct proportion to what He wants to accomplish through the ministry. Thanks to your generosity, we met our annual fundraising goals in 2017. The Lord brought in over $2.9 million in donations in 2017. We are grateful to you and the 26,150 donors for being a part of His answer to these prayers.

Donors came from all 50 states. The top 5 states by number of donors:

Texas, North Carolina, California, Florida and Georgia

Donors came from 49 countries. The top 5 countries by number of donors (outside of the US:

Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, Singapore and New Zealand.

In 2017, we welcomed 5 countries to our donor list for the first time:

Argentina, Guatemala, Hungary, Uganda and Israel.

There is a great deal of research supporting the benefits of an embrace. In fact, the human heart was made for this kind of love and security. Unfortunately, many of us know more about the pain of heartbreak and fear.

Lysa TerKeurst understands. In her devotional, Embraced: 100 Devotions to Know God Is Holding You Close, she shares her own struggles and doubts while pointing to the Ultimate Embrace: Jesus opening His arms wide on Calvary so that He could pull us close for eternity. And because we have been fully embraced by Him, we can spend our lives trusting His ways.

If you know someone who struggles with the tension of, ‘If God is near, why does He sometimes feel far away?’ consider offering them this gift of intentional, guided time with Him through Embraced.

Equipping Churches For Greater Impact

Most often, we view the local church as experts in worship, evangelism, discipleship and service. And rightfully so. These are hallmarks of the faith, and it would make sense that churches focus the majority of their time and resources to pointing people to Jesus in these and varying ways.

Out of gratefulness for the operation of the local body, Proverbs 31 Ministries has created a church resourcing program to support and strengthen the local church as they seek to serve Christ in the communities they serve with the gospel, P31 now offers staff, volunteer and congregational training on a variety of subjects to help build productivity and effectiveness:

KEEPING EASTER ALIVE: A SPECIAL GIFT FOR YOU

This year, along with our annual She Speaks Conference, we’re offering something new — She Speaks Studio! If you sense God preparing you for a writing or speaking ministry, we hope you’ll join us for one or both. Whether you’re just starting or you’ve been serving in ministry for many years, these She Speaks conferences will help as you consider next steps.

She Speaks Conference is still a two-day conference designed to equip women who have a dream to write, speak or lead. This year’s conference is July 26-28 at the Embassy Suites Convention Center in Concord, NC.

She Speaks Studio is a one-and-a-half-day, hands-on conference for those looking for a more focused learning experience within smaller groups. This inaugural gathering is September 17-18, 2018 at the Embassy Suites Convention Center in Concord, NC.
