Briefing – has knowledge of subject – need details

Technical Reports – process or procedure oriented

Professional Papers – usually research paper – for presentation to others in your field

ADVICE

Know how to pronounce the speaker’s name

Use the speaker’s name at least twice

Avoid trite phrases: “I’m sure you will enjoy this presentation” or “it is an honor and a privilege…”etc.

Do not embarrass the speaker MAXIMUM of 5 minutes.

Select a person you would like to introduce

Can be a historic individual – real or fictional

Research the persons biography Create a topic which this person would

speak about to THIS class Your speech must be 4 – 5 minutes in

length You must email or in writing submit to me

the name of the person you will introduce – to receive my approval (by Sept 19)
