The path to paper
Pulp manufacturingVarious mechanical, thermaland chemical processes areused here. The objective is tosort and thicken the pulp,and bleach it as required.Then the pulp is purified andthickened again.

Mesh sectionThe first step from pulp topaper takes place here. Thepulp flows from the outletonto a mesh so that the pro-cess water can be extractedfrom the pulp. The watercollected from the mesh isconditioned in the stockcollector and fed back intothe pulp process.
Press sectionA system of press rollssqueezes more water from thepaper and makes the surfacesmoother. The process wateris drawn back into the stockcollector and finds its way backinto pulp production.
The path to paper
Drying sectionThe rough raw paper passesthrough cylinders beneathinfrared driers to remove theremaining water.
CalenderControllable, polished ironrollers give the final surfacepolish to the paper, which isthen reeled onto large reels.
FinishingThe paper receives its finalproperties in the finishingsection. In the size press,various materials for finishingthe surface are applied andthe paper is dried.
