QLASSIC ASSESSORS TRAINING
Quality Assessment System in Construction (QLASSIC) is a certification scheme developed by the Construction Industry through CIDB Malaysia, assessment is carried out based on the accepted Construction Industry Standard (CIS) to:
Measure the quality level achieved in a completed construction works project.
Enable the quality of workmanship between construction projects to be objectively compared through a scoring system.
Set the standard on Quality Assessment System (QAS) for Building Construction Works. This makes Quality Assessment more objective by measuring completed works against workmanship standards and specications.
QLASSIC sets out the standard on workmanship quality for various construction elements of building construction works. The quality is assessed according to the requirements in the CIS 7.
Marks are awarded for workmanship that complies with the CIS 7.
These marks are then summed up to calculate the QLASSIC score (%) for the building construction project.
QLASSIC assessments are carried out through site visits and uses the principle of first time inspection. Construction works that are rectified after an assessment will not be re-assessed. The objective of this principle is to encourage the contractor to
Allows project owners/ contractors to benchmark their workmanship quality on an industry wide basis.
