1 Under the Rosetta Stone Home tab, click Launch Rosetta Stone.

Welcome to the Rosetta Stone® Enterprise Version 3 language-learning solution.

If a System Check window opens, follow any onscreen instructions to update your system. When you’ve finished setting up your system, click Check My System Again. If you don’t see the System Check window, your system is fine.

Launch Rosetta Stone

Note: The speech component is necessary for the full Rosetta Stone experience. If prompted, download the speech installer and follow the steps to install.

On the Microphone Setup screen, click Continue. At the tone, speak in a normal voice: “1, 2, 3, 4, 5.” A confirmation will appear when setup is successful.

Click Continue to complete microphone setup.

Set Up Your MicrophoneC

1 Plug in your microphone headset, and position it with the microphone in front of your mouth. Follow the prompts on the Microphone Selection screen. If your microphone is not listed, click Refresh List.

When the Home Screen appears showing your first Core Lesson, click Start.

The Home Screen displays your progress in Rosetta Stone.® A check mark appears when you’ve completed an activity and received a passing score.

The Rosetta Stone curriculum uses a variety of screen types to help you associate meaning with words.

Choose ImageClick on the picture that matches the spoken words and text.

Note: Your headset needs to meet Rosetta Stone specifications.

Choose PromptChoose the prompt that matches the image.

Practice SpeakingSpeak into the headset microphone.

Match PictureClick on the picture that matches the word or phrase.

Multiple ChoiceChoose a word or phrase to complete the phrase or sentence.

Type TextType the phrase on your computer keyboard, or click the keys on the on-screen keyboard. Click a special character key to insert a character with an accent or diacritic mark.
