All, Oh my gosh, I am sooooooo excited to announce that we are now an official drop off location for “Project Linus” quilts!!! Whoo hooo! This is something that has been on my heart for a long time so I would like to thank Charlotte for chatting with me and setting this up!! There’s a story about a man named Jacob that you might not know. When he was 2 ½ weeks old he was diagnosed with neuroblastoma and given a 3% chance to live. We said we want to fight, so we started radiation and chemo and prayed and prayed. Everyone at the hospital was wonderful, I remember one day a nurse brought in this cute little quilt and said she knew that is was made with love and prayers and wanted to know if it would be okay if she left it for us. I said of course, so I sat and held that little quilt and prayed more. Well, that man is our son who just turned 23!!!! At the time I had not heard of Project Linus and had no idea where the quilt came from nor did I know that one day I would own a quilt shop. He works in mysterious ways to be sure! So, being the recipient of a quilt I can tell you that they are a lot more important than I hope you will ever know. They are more than just a quilt; they are threads of love, hope, and faith! So if you have scraps or fabric you don’t know what to do with please consider making a quilt for Project Linus, your local children’s hospital or cancer center!!! Ozark Quilt Trail block collection ended yesterday! O hope you were able to get out and get some of these absolutely beautiful blocks! You still have till the 15th of this month to bring in a completed project using a minimum of 5 blocks to be entered into the drawing for the Janome 6600P sewing machine! We have had several people bring in completed projects and hope to see a lot more in the next 2 weeks!!! Row by Row 2017 On the Go is still going!!!! So don’t forget to stop in and get your free pattern or pick up one of our kits for just $6.00 available till September 5th! Create a quilt using at least 8 different 2017 rows from 8 different 2017 participating RxR shops and be the first to bring it into a participating shop to win a stack of 25 fat quarters (6-1/4 yards of fabric!). Salted Chocolate and Caramel Pretzel Bars These simple, 4-ingredient Salted Chocolate Caramel Pretzel Bars will quickly become your new favorite

sweet and salty treat! No bake and no candy thermometer needed.

Ingredients

12 ounces good quality semi-sweet chocolate chips ,divided

8 ounces mini pretzel twists ,half of a regular 16-ounce bag

11 ounce bag Caramel Bits or homemade caramel

Sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

Melt 8 ounces of the chocolate chips gently in the microwave (on low heat, stirring every 15 seconds)

until smooth. Spread the chocolate evenly over the parchment. Immediately add the pretzel twists over the

top (it's ok if they overlap!) and gently press them into the chocolate.

Add caramel bits to a microwave safe bowl with 2 tablespoons water and melt according to package

instructions (on high for 2 minutes). Stir well and drizzle the melted caramel over the top of all of the

pretzels.

Melt remaining 4 ounces of chocolate and drizzle over the caramel. Sprinkle with sea salt.

Refrigerate until hardened. Cut or tear into pieces, Enjoy!

Baltimore Spring Quilt

Baltimore Album quilts were made in Baltimore between 1846 and 1852. For this beautiful Baltimore style quilt with all the wonderful colors of Spring and Summer we will make a block a month for 14 months!. The 24in center block is surrounded by twelve 12in album style blocks and surrounded by a applique border. Finished quilt size 70in x 70in.

Includes one 220yd spool each of 6 colors of 100wt silk thread. This thread is ideal for all forms of invisible applique as the silk melds into the fabric with minimal or no knotting. Also used for detail quilting because of its shine!

You can either choose to do machine, raw edge or needle turn applique to complete your blocks! Classes start Nov 2 and will meet the 1st Thursday of each month through December 2018. Registration: $40.00 due at sign up. Class $24.95 per month (plus tax) includes pattern, 6 piece silk thread set and all fabric for top. Does not include backing fabric.

Class Policies Class Registration: All classes are filled on a first-come,

first serve basis. Classes fill FAST

and are limited in size. Registration

fee is due at sign up.

Class Refund Policy: We may cancel a class if the

minimum number of students is not

met seven days before the class

begins. If we cancel a class we will

gladly refund your money.

If you need to cancel or

withdraw from a class please let

us know as soon as possible so

that we will not continue to cut

kits for you, no class fee refund will

be given if the class has already

started. No registration refund will be

given, however, will gladly transfer

your registration to another upcoming

class!

General Rules:

1. As a courtesy to others, no babies

or children under 8 are allowed.

Children over 8 are welcome to attend

if they have paid the regular class fee

and are accompanied by an adult

registered for the same class.

2. Please arrive early for classes, as

they will begin on time.

3. Please check each class description

for supplies you need to bring or come

early and we’ll be happy to assist you

with finding what you need (a

discount of 20% off will be given on

class day only for any purchases)

4. Please let us know if you

cannot make it to an evening

class if at all possible just in case

we are just waiting for you!
