Pickup Discount$50 credit for buyers taking their bulls home on sale day.

Delivery: We will offer delivery within 200 km of home, after that at cost. Delivery will commence April 1, 2014 unless prior arrangements have been made with the seller.

Wintering: Anyone not wanting to take their bulls after the sale can make ar-rangements with the breeder to keep the bulls at a cost of $4.00 per day after April 1, 2014. ALL BULLS RETURNING TO THE BREEDER MUST BE INSURED. The bulls will be housed at the buyer’s risk. The breeders will not be responsible for any type of injury while the bulls are in their care.

Trucking: Cattle can leave that day and please make arrangements to do so. If you are unable to truck any cattle on sale day, please contact the particular breeder and arrangements can be made to load cattle the following day.

Loading out: Loading will not be allowed until the conclusion of the sale.

Semen Test: All bulls will be semen tested before sale day.

We have really appreciated all the work Rob and his staff have done to help make our sale a success. This year we have joined forces with RACK Red Angus. We are really excited to work together with Clayton & Kathy Park and family to bring together an impressive set of Angus and Simmental bulls for you. As an added feature we are once again offering a select group of open heifers for you to purchase.

There have been some changes in our bull sale group since last year’s sale, but our goal has not changed. Our goal still remains to produce bulls and females that will work just as hard in your herd as they do in ours. You can truly buy with confidence that these bulls and heifers are sound and ready to go to work. Our feeding program keeps natural growth and longevity in mind and the bulls are not pushed. We have also tie broke the bulls this year as well and we think that you would be impressed with the docility in both the bulls and heifers. We tested a select number of bulls for the Tru Polled Gene and there is a note on the bulls that we did test throughout the catalog.

This bull’s mother is by far one of our favorite cows. This is only the 2nd bull she has pro-duced and he is a good one. The 1st bull she raised was sold in the 2011 sale to Gordon Turner Farms Ltd of Blackie. Every heifer she has raised has been retained in our herd. She is a moderate framed cow with great feet. If you are looking for some performance and extra pounds in your calves at weaning time, this is your bull.

This is our 2nd crop of calves out of the 4X bull. These calves are so consistent and easy calving. This bull is a soggy fellow that should put the pounds on your calves. His mother had been Grady’s 4-H heifer several years ago. She is a really good milking female.

We are excited with our new partnership with MCG Simmentals, Murray, Cheryl and Grady Brown of Stavely, who have the same goals to achieve with their bulls as we do with our bulls. We don’t have large numbers of bulls, but we have quality, functional, sound bulls that have been grown and not pushed. The Rack bulls have been hand fed twice a day with a wheat based screening pellet with corn and no barley added. We have achieved a 3.5 lb/day average gain.

Kathy and I would like to thank our kids for all their involvement with the ranch and the cattle. Marshall’s day starts at 6:00 am helping to feed the bulls and checking cows, going to school and coming home to repeat the morning chores. Most weekends are spent helping with anything that didn’t get done during the week. Marshall is my right hand man and is learning the ropes of the purebred business.

Kelsey and Ben are both working as well as Kelsey is in her second year of nursing school. Ben is completing his last year of off road heavy duty mechanics and helping his parents on their ranch in Milk River as well.

He is a bull with tre-mendous muscle expression, depth of rib, tons of rear end capacity and a good, clean, straight topline. His feet have never been trimmed and I consider him to have the best feet I’ve seen in a mature bull in a long time. He stamps his calves, whether a heifer or a bull calf, with triangular heads, length and grow into style and capacity very quickly. His calves tip the scale in the fall. BUCC 324Y was a bull calf that Brent Carey found for us in 2012 at Six Mile. When I asked Brent about the bull his response was that this is a wide topped, thick boned power house that he thought would do us lot of good. 324Y has done just that with the exception he is throwing much lighter birth weight, averaging in the mid 80s. Take a look at his pedigree, it is rock solid all the way through with many great sires being represented.
