NAAC Coordination Committee

In order to bring positive changes in Higher Education, N.A.A.C. Bangalore has taken

initiative for the academic audit of the colleges in India. Keeping this view in mind, the

committee has tried its best to fulfill the compliances suggested by NAAC Peer Team.

This year we have submitted an online report to N.A.A.C. for the year 2012-13

through IQAC on 31st October, 2013. The compliance of the documents was done in the

stipulated time.

We really feel that, the valuable guidance of Hon. Prin. Dr. B. K. Karale enabled us to

carry out the responsibilities in successful way. We also thank teaching and non- teaching

staff for their continuous co-operation.

Library

Higher education plays an important part in tailoring the personality of the students. It

is not sure that student can get the deep knowledge through classroom teaching only, so

library can fulfill their thirst of knowledge. Library is the source of knowledge for the

teachers as well as students. In short, library is the soul of the college. We try to enrich the

book collection with the recommendations of teachers and students

Periodicals and journals provide recent knowledge in the subject. Library subscribes

Newspapers help our students to know recent events in various fields. We serve this

purpose by subscribing 8 newspapers.

4. CDs and Floppies:-

Library contains 85 CDs and Floppies for the audio- visual use.

5. Online Database:-

Internet is the best resource to collect the information. Since January 2012, teachers

and students are getting the benefit of INFLIBNET subscribing 2,154 e- journals and 51,746

e- books.

Library is functioning very smoothly with the active involvement of Mr. Balasaheb

Vyawahare. We try to give the best to the readers under the valuable guidance of Hon. Prin.

Dr. B. K. Karale to imbibe reading culture among the teachers and students.

BCUD, Research and Project Motivation Committee

Since academic year 2006-07, BCUD, University of Pune started to sanction research

project to the college teachers. This year Prof. B. S. Nikalje (Head, Department of Hindi),

Prof. R. V. Barve and Prof. S. D. Ghangale (Department of English) had sanctioned research

project. They are doing their research work satisfactorily and they have completed their first

year research work successfully.

Dr. S. P. Nagarkar (Head, Department of Marathi), Prof. S. B. Gaikwad (Head,

Department of Psychology) and Dr. Smt. V. D. Patil (Head, Department of Economics) are

doing their research work under the minor research projects sanctioned by UGC (WRO,

Pune).

UGC Coordination Committee

There is an UGC Coordination Committee to implement various UGC schemes in the

college. It prepares proposals for grant for various purposes. The committee meets time to

time. It reviews the expenditure incurred on various schemes of the UGC. The committee

also looks after the preparation and submission of the utilization to be submitted to the UGC

office.

Recently, the guidelines for XIIth plan were made available on the UGC website. It

was decided to implement the necessary schemes such as-

1. Development Grant to Colleges

2. Establishment and Monitoring of the Internal Quality Assurance Cells (IQAC‟s) in

Colleges.

3. Organizing Conferences, Workshops, Seminars in Colleges

4. Special Scheme of Construction of Women‟s Hostel for Colleges

5. Scheme of Development Assistance to Colleges for the Construction of the Building.

Short Term Course

The college is running the project of Short Term Course under Karmaveer Vidya

Prabodhini, which is one of the innovative programmes of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha for giving

professional training and practical approach to students. This course gives them the training

in fewer fees and less time.

The courses like Tailoring, Mycon and Mehandi were undertaken successfully in this

year. For three months tailoring course 38 students were enrolled. Mycon course for one

month was completed by 10 students and 65 students for one month Mehandi course.

National Skill Development Programme

The National Skill Development Corporation India (NSDC) is a one of its kind,

Public Private Partnership in India. It aims to promote skill development by catalyzing

creation of large, quality, for-profit vocational institutions. It provides funding to build

scalable, for-profit vocational training initiatives. Its mandate is also to enable support

systems such as quality assurance, information systems and train the trainer academies either

directly or through partnerships. The NSDC was set up as part of a national skill development

mission to fulfill the growing need in India for skilled manpower across sectors and narrow

the existing gap. Under this programme, a course in „Banking Correspondence and Business

Facilitators‟ was initiated with the active participation of 75 students. The feedback of the

students expressed the need and utility of the course in their life.

I extend my sincere thanks to Prin. Dr. B. K. Karale for continuous encouragement

Competitive Examination Guidance Center

While studying the prescribed curricula of the university, we try to give the

knowledge of competitive examination conducted by UPSC, MPSC, Staff Selection

Commission, Bank and Railway Recruitment Boards, Defense Academy to the students. It is

our aim to provide an opportunity to girl students to work at the administrative level. The

Competitive Examination Guidance Center is functioning in the college since last seven

years. We organize the lectures of experts for the students. This year, the activities of the

center were inaugurated by Mrs. Seema Zaware, Commissioner, Income Tax Maharashtra

State, Ahmednagar on 28th

August, 2013. Prin. Dr. B. K. Karale was in chair. They motivated

students to work hard to study for the competitive examinations. For this year, 68 participants

were enrolled for this activity. Two lectures were organized at morning from 08 a.m. to 10

a.m. and 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on every Sunday. In spite of this, the lectures of Mrs. Seema

Zaware were organized for the students. The special classes are organized to train students

for the preparation of interview. The books related to competitive examinations are provided

to students. A separate study room is available for the competitive examinations.

The center provides the guidance for the examinations like U.P.S.C., M.P.S.C., Staff

Selection Commission, Banking Recruitments, Railway Recruitments as well as N.E.T. and

S.E.T. The current affairs are provided to students with the help of magazines such as

„Spardha Pariksha‟, „Nokari Sandarbh‟, „General Knowledge‟ and „Employment News‟.

All the committee members of Competitive Examination Guidance Center guided

them time to time. Time- table of various competitive exams and advertisements published in

the newspaper are regularly displayed on the notice board.

I am thankful to the all resource persons for the competitive examinations. Hon. Prin.

Dr. B. K. Karale always takes initiative to promote students for the study of competitive

examinations.

Botanic Garden Committee

Botanic gardens are the treasures of plant wealth and are considered as the lungs of

environment. Our botanic garden is enriched with more than 200 plant species of ornament,

medicines and RET values. During this academic year RET species like Dendrobium, Vanda,

Dioscoria, Sarcostemma and Gloriosa were planted during monsoon. They flourish well

during their growth season. The plant material required for practical purposes are grown in

the garden.

Inauguration of Commerce Association

The Inauguration of Commerce Association for Academic Year 2013-14 was held on

20th

August, 2013 which was chaired by Hon. Principal Dr. B.K. Karale of our college in the

presence of Chief Guest, Prof. Gafur Shaikh, Head, Department of History of our College. He

talked on “Secrets of Success” and shared his valuable experience with students and also

elaborated how to face difficulties with the help of Culture.

Ms. Baraskar Kranti, Ms. Pathan Sofiya & Ms. Sarde Shraddha are appointed as a

Class Reprentatives for FY, SY,TY.B.Com respectively.

The faculty Member Prof. Smt. S.S. Thube has published a research paper at National

Level Seminar at C.D. Jain College of Commerce, Shrirampur.

The faculty Member CA. Nikhil Goyal has published a research paper at National

Level Seminar at C.D. Jain College of Commerce, Shrirampur.

During the academic year students of the Department participated in various cultural

programmes, activities, competitions, seminars and was appreciated by the Hon.

Principal Dr. B.K. Karale. Department feel proud to mention that Miss. Bhagyashri

Tarate has participated and bagged various prizes in debate and elocution competition.

On 23rd

January, 2014 College has organized „BCA Day‟. Mr. Somnath Shinde (Sr.

Programmer, Xento Systems Pvt. Ltd., Pune) was Chief Guest for the function. He

delivered lecture on “Computer Languages & New IT Trends”. He elaborated the all

IT works & difference between college education & IT work.

Farewell Programme:-

The Farewell Programme by Commerce Association was held on 14th

March, 2014

which was chaired by Hon. Principal Dr. B.K. Karale. The Chief Guests were Hon. Vice-

Principal, Dr. B.K.Auti and Prof. M.B. Karande, Dr. S.P. Nagarkar, Prof. N.I. Sayyed and

senior faculty of our college and students. Farewell Programme was arranged for T.Y.B.Com

& T.Y.BCA students by all the students and teachers. Many students expressed their feelings

in speech. At this event Hon. Principal Dr. B.K. Karale delivered Guidance Speech for the

students.

I sincerely thank Principal Dr. B.K. Karale for his support and valuable guidance. As

Nature Club

Nature plays an important role in our lives. The College intends to run a Nature club

activity in order to make the students aware of the nature around them.

This year the activities of the club started with the inaugural function by Prin. Dr. R.

K. Aher. He emphasized the need of conservation of nature and use of natural products for

environmental protection.

A local excursion tour was organized for the students to observe floral and faunal

diversity around the campus. The students were provided the information of the campus

vegetation. The study tour was organized on 15th

February, 2014 to Bhandardara-

Harishchandragad spot respectively. The tour was enjoyed by 164 students with 16 teachers.

The students also collected recent paper articles regarding environmental stresses and their

conservation strategies.

I received a constant support of my committee members Prof. Ms. V.S. Dighe, Prof.

Ms. C.B. Kale in the coordination of activities. We are thankful to Hon. Prin. Dr. B.K. Karale

for his valuable guidance as well as support of all teaching and non-teaching staff for

organizing the activities effectively.

„Knowledge is a Power‟ which can be achieved through hard work and continuity only. In the

competitive world, a teacher must be acquainted with various knowledge disciplines. Such

Science Association

The Science Association is run by College in order to make the Science students

aware of the scientific advances, facts and developments in recent years. They are also able to

learn about the adoption of new scientific technologies.

This year the activities of the club started with the inaugural function by Prin. Dr. R.

K. Aher (N.A.S.C. College, Parner). He emphasized the observation and developing new

techniques in science according to our daily needs. He gave an expertise lecture on “Science

and You” with excellent slide show.

Another lecture for Science students was arranged by the Chairman Dr. S. A.

Kulkarni on “Disasters and its Management” along with slide show presentation. The

students were benefitted by the activities of the committee and showed maximum attendance.

The committee has received kind cooperation of the members Prof. A.K. Kapare and

Prof. Ms. V.S. Dighe. We are thankful to Hon. Prin. Dr. B. K. Karale for his valuable

Alumnae Association

In 2002-03, alumnae association of the college has been established. The students

become alumnae after completing their education from this college. After completing their

degree they either get married or precede their further education. Such students should get

guidance for their future education or career and they should keep themselves attached with

the college and contribute for quantitative and qualitative progress of the college with this

purpose the alumnae committee and the alumnae association of the college meets once in a

year. Through their valuable suggestions, we are improving our academic, co-curricular and

extra -curricular enrichment of the college.

This year under the guidance of our Hon. Principal Dr. B. K. Karale we have

organized “Savitribai Phule Birth Anniversary” in presence of alumnae on 3rd

January, 2014.

This celebration and alumnae gathering was chaired by Hon. Durga Tambe (Nagaradhyaksha,

Samgamner) and the chief guest for this programme was a renowned author Dr. Pratima

Ingole. About 40 alumnae had attended this gathering and celebration programme. Through

their expressive talks and interaction with one another they have shown their satisfaction

about overall development of the college. The members of the committee had a meeting with

Hon. Principal and the college alumnae committee. They have made some valuable

suggestions about some professional short term courses like Spoken English, Banking, Tally

and some advanced computational skills programme. College has taken initiative and

successfully organised the course for 75 students. Thus, through their valuable suggestions

alumnae shows their devoted attachment and responsibilities for the college and the present

students.

The college alumnae committee and head of the different departments are taking

efforts for this gathering and they always remain in contact with the alumnae.

Soft Skills Developmental Programme

Since 2007-08, college is organizing a ten days soft skills development training

programme for T.Y.B.A/B.Com/B.Sc students. Under the guidance of B.C.U.D University of

Pune, Radhabai Kale Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Ahmednagar has conducted Soft Skills

Development Programme for the above classes.

It was organized under the supervision of the SSDP committee of the college. The

entire programme was worked out as per the guidelines of University of Pune.

SSDP Batch- I was conducted during 5th

to 14th

December, 2013 while Batch- II was

conducted from 17th

to 26th

December, 2013. In these batches total 78 students have

registered their names for the training programme and they have successfully completed it.

Following course curricula was prescribed in the training programme: Goal setting, Positive

attitude, Conversational skills, Communication skills, Motivation, Assertiveness, Stress

management, Leadership, Etiquettes and manners, Personality development, Presentation

skills, Interview techniques, SWOT analysis, etc.

The inaugural session of SSDP was chaired by Prin. Dr. B. K. Karale and Prof. Dr. B. K.

Auti. They informed the students about the SSDP, while the Validictory programme was

chaired by Prof. M. B. Karande, Head, Department of English of the college.

The entire programme was planned by Prof. Dr. Suman Pawar under the guidance of Prin.

Dr. Karale B. K and she was assisted by Prof. Dr. Auti B. K, Prof. Karande M. B, Prof. Goyal

N. B and Prof. Gaikwad L. J.

The students have expressed their gratitude and sincere thanks to the organizers and to

University of Pune for providing such a training programme for their personality

development and for future career.

At Valedictory function, the students are awarded with training certificates. The said

course was very fruitful for overall personality development of the students at degree level.

We are thankful to the University authorities for providing study material and financial

assistance for the programme.

Cultural Committee

Being a women‟s college, the students should maintain their culture, traditions along

with their academic standards. Keeping this view in mind, committee organizes different

cultural activities throughout the year. The cultural department mainly concentrate on

different cultural competitions like patriotic singing, bhajan singing, dance competition,

rangoli on various programmes held at college, mehendi, etc. By celebrating different days

like traditional day, bangles day students show their keen interest in our different traditional

wearing. By this way the students show national integrity. For Annual Prize Distribution

programme, cultural events on different occasions through solo and group dances, folk

dances, lawani dance, performing bharud, short plays, and street plays were performed.

Students made the programme more cheerful. This year, through different activities students

have shown much concern and awareness about some burning social issues like dowry,

female feticide, cleanliness movement for village, girl‟s education etc.

For overall development of the students the committee consistently takes effort which

are guided by Hon. Principal, Dr. B. K. Karale and these efforts are assisted by the members

of committee.

Counseling Cell

College is running Counseling Cell for the students. Every year the cell takes

initiative to solve the psychological, personal and family problems as well as to boost their

confidence, develop their mental ability and self esteem. It is availed to the needy students

who get in touch with the Chairman of Counseling Cell.

Committee against Sexual Harassment

As per the guideline of Supreme Court New Delhi and University of Pune the

committee against sexual harassment of women is in force since 2007-08.

We have not received such complaints so far as we have only girl students in our

college. But as a preventive measure, the newly admitted students are alerted by counselling

session engaged by the members of Zilha Vidhi Seva Pradhikaran, Ahmednagar. This year

we have organized a legal awareness workshop with the help of the experts from district

court Ahmednagar, Bar Association Ahmednagar and Zilha Vidhi Seva Pradhikaran,

Ahmednagar. The experts like Judge P. B. Gaikwad, Ad. Shivaji Karale has given their

expertise talks on harassment of woman at working place, domestic violence and laws against

sexual harassment etc.

By this way under the guidance of Prin. Dr. B. K. Karale, the committee members by

taking the help of Tophkhana Police Station and special vigilance Police Squad Ahmednagar,

we are keeping our college campus free from such incidences.

Anti-Ragging Committee

As per the guideline of the Supreme Court, New Delhi, Government of Maharashtra

and University of Pune, an Anti-Ragging Committee is constituted in the college. As we have

only girl students, no such major complaints were reported so far. But for prevention we are

organising a counselling session for newly admitted students and previous students

separately.

Under the guidance of Hon. Prin. Dr. B. K. Karale the counselling sessions were

engaged by Miss. S. S. Shah (Senior Judge, Ahmednagar), Mr. P. B. Ghuge (Secretary, Vidhi

Seva Pradhikaran, Ahmednagar) and Ad. Sagar Padir, Member of the Bar Council,

Ahmednagar. In these sessions, the experts have guided the students about the reported cases

of ragging as well as the laws against ragging, the compliant filling procedure etc. The

college has formed an Anti-Ragging Squad which particularly supervises the incoming and

outgoing time of the students on nearby roads, ST Stand and regularly in the college campus.

By this way, through awareness and strict supervision we are maintaining our college

campus ragging free. Not only the committee members of squad member but all the teaching

and non-teaching staffs always keeps themselves alert against ragging.

Time – Table and Academic Calendar Committee

Time is an inevitable part of human life. We have to run and follow the time

accordingly. If we limit and plan our self with time, then we can have effective time

management which is the need of an hour. Time - Table Committee takes initiative to

schedule the classes properly according to the time line directed by UGC.

This year, first year classes started from 24th

June, 2013 whereas, second and third

year from 15th

July, 2013. Considering the strength, the classrooms were allotted to the

special as well as general subjects. Replacements of teachers were made in the time- table

due to transfer of some faculty from the college as well as new appointments as per the

guidelines of Sanstha. Temporary changes were made in the time- table due to Environmental

Science classes, CET classes for 12th

standard and H.S.C. Board Examination, February

2014.

Construction of new five class rooms, Physics Laboratory and shifting of Geography

department has been made.

Academic Calendar was prepared as per the guidelines of University of Pune and

Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara. The schedule of commencement and ending of term- I and

term- II, important meetings for committees, examinations (tests/turorials/practicals/orals),

various competitions and lectures of staff academy were planned tentatively. As a result of

schedule, we have got 205 days for teaching and 243 for working respectively.

We are thankful to Hon. Prin. Dr. B. K. Karale for able guidance and motivation time

to time as well as University of Pune and Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara for timely display

of academic planning.

Health & Hygiene Awareness Committee

The Health & Hygiene awareness committee is run by College in order to make the

students aware of their health related issues to avoid future health problems. Being Women‟s

College it is necessary to run such activities for the women students because many of these

come from rural background and are unaware of the consequences related to their poor

health.

This year the activities of the club started with the inaugural address by Dr. Nitin

Sayamber (Pediatrician and Health Consultant) regarding “Health and Diet”. In his speech, he

emphasized the girls to be more concerned with their health as well as the type of diet they

consume. It reflects the fitness, body strength, Hemoglobin levels and overall development of

their body. Proper nutrition is necessary for healthy mind and body.

A Health checkup camp was organized for the F.Y. Students of all faculties of the

College. A total Health checkup of 535 students was done in the academic year by the

Medical Officer Dr. Nanda Wagh and the final reports of both the terms have been submitted

to the University of Pune. Dr. Nanda Wagh also visits thrice in a week to hostel and college

girls in case of their disorder.

The committee has received kind cooperation of the members Prof. Y.M.

Randhavane. Mrs. U.R. Gadekar, Prof. U.R. Jagdale and Prof. Mrs. S.S. Malwade. We are

thankful to Hon. Prin. Dr. B.K. Karale for his valuable guidance as well as support of all

teaching and non-teaching staff for organizing the activities effectively.

Karmveer Vidya Prabodhini

Education simply means to adjust with the circumstances skillfully, but it must be

qualitative so that, student can achieve success in the competitive world. Thus, qualitative

education can fulfill the need of an hour.

Rayat Shikshan Sanstha has started Karmveer Vidya Prabodhini to enhance the

quality of students. Karmveer Vidya Prabodhini organizes various programmes to find out

the hidden talent among the rural students.

In this year, General Knowledge Certificate Examination - 1 & 2 were held for the

students. Fifty six students appeared for Paper- 1 from junior college, whereas 125 students

from senior college for Paper-2. We have organized guidance classes for the students which

proved beneficial for them for the preparation of various competitive examinations.

I am very much grateful to Prof. K. S. Paimode, Prof. B. C. Katore, Prof. R. D.

Thombre and Prof. Mrs. V. S. Dighe for their continuous cooperation. I also express my

Hostel, Canteen and Mess Committee

The college has taken initiative for strengthening women‟s education especially for

rural girl students as they cannot travel from long distance as well as due to personal

problems. We have hostel facility for the needy girl students. The hostel comprises of very

spacious buildings phase I & II. There are lady rectors and wardens especially to look in the

smooth floored. Both hostels are equipped with Mess Hall and Canteen, Solar Water Heater

System, Newspapers, Coin Box and Recreation Hall. Girl student desirous of seeking

admission in the hostel should fill the admission form and submit it to the rector of the hostel.

While seeking admission the students should accompany by their parents.

The hostel meets were called on 16/8/2013, 23/8/2013, 7/9/2013 and 1/1/2014.

Various issues related to health and hygiene, discipline, food quality and grievances by

students were discussed and resolved.

College also provides canteen and mess facility to the hostellers and others too. The

special attention is provided towards the food facility. A flying squad visits the mess daily for

the check up of food. A register is maintained for the remarks given by squad. The committee

tries to solve the problems of the hostellers preferably.

National Service Scheme were inaugurated by Dr. Gore A. B. on 27th July, 2013.

C) Medical surveys and rallies were organized during the camp.

D) The survey for male – female ratio was conducted

Debate Club is actively working in the college for the purpose of developing stage

daring and communicative approach of the students.

The following activities were organized by Debate Club in the academic year 2013-

On the occasion of Karmveer Birth Anniversary Week (22nd to 30th September,

2013, we have organized various activities for the students in our college. It includes poetry

recitation, drama reading, essay writing, elocution competition and spontaneous elocution

competition.

In addition, our students try to shine in the competitions organized by outside

Literary Association of the college aims at availing opportunities to the hidden

qualities of the students (qualities like writing and speaking). It also aims at creating interest

among the students about literature, art of elocution and culture. Overall, the association tries

Student Welfare Committee

University of Pune has established Board of Student Welfare in order to imbibe the

culture, social commitment and national integration in the mind of students in spite of

mechanical teaching learning process. In our college, considering students as the center, we

have planned some activities. It should be noted that the development of personality doesn‟t

reaches at height due to academic and mental exercises only but it gets enriched with the

perfect balance of body, intellect and soul. Prof. Munesh Myana delivered a lecture and

inspired them through practical of Judo Karate to students under 'Nirbhay Kanya Abhiyan' as

well as Dr. Suman Pawar delivered a lecture to girls.

As per the directives of Board of Student Welfare, college has started „Earn

while Learn Scheme‟ for 41 students. They are paid 25 rupees per hour as remuneration to

imprint the dignity of labor in the mind of students which helps needy and bright students to

study further. The interested students get work on demand instantly in the college.

Apart from academics, students need the special guidance for competitive

examinations. Therefore, extra lectures were held for preparation for competitive

examinations, English, Statistics and Economics under Special Guidance Scheme. These

activities resulted into the overall development of the students.

All round personality development of students is the aim of education. Sports play an

important role in nurturing the minds of the students. It develops positive thinking among the

players. Our gymkhana department has been doing it continuously for years together. We

send each player or team after enough guidance and rehearsal by our expert Physical

Directors. In this year, total 35 students of senior and junior college were selected for various

games at Inter Zonal, state, national and international level competitions. Miss. Rutuja Shelke

and Miss. Amruta Suse played at international level. Miss. Swati Shinde has selected at

national level in volleyball team. Kabaddi team of junior college selected at the zonal level.

Our players always try to give their best for the team as well as at the personal level

had very nice performance, that 4 players were selected in the volleyball team of

catalytic improvement in the performance of institutions. The IQAC will make a

For skill based education we have increased number of Short Term Courses for

the empowerment of economically weak and socially downtrodden as well as

interested students.

Feedback Committee collects feedback from students regularly for the enhancement

in academic and extra-curricular activities which are considered as visionary steps for overall

improvement in the teaching-learning process.

Committee has also submitted Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) for academic

year 2013-14.

Our college has started the second division of F.Y.B. Sc and three new courses (Physics,

Mathematics and Zoology) for science faculty at T. Y. B. Sc. level and also started M.A.

Marathi according to the need of students. College has also started Research Centre and for

strengthening the department we have purchased advanced instruments for the Department of

Chemistry. Our college has also organized workshops and National conference on

College has conducted feedback mechanism for academic year 2014-15 and obtained

feedback from the students at College as well as departmental level. Feedback collected

about teacher, about curriculum and overall feedback about college.

Taking in to considerations their suggestions we tried to solve their problems and improve the

the knowledge based teaching our Hon‟ble Principal encouraged our faculty members to

participate in workshops, seminars, conferences and refresher courses organized by various

colleges. Our college has also organized workshops and National conference on

Interdisciplinary Approaches in Biochemical Sciences. Our faculty members also actively

participated in research work under faculty improvement programmes and completed

research work successfully.

Teachers those are average in communication skill, suggestions are given by H.O.D.s

to them for improvements. For the evaluation of understanding of the course we have

organized Chem-Quiz, internal tests, home assignments, internal examination and projects

for students. Through this evaluation the students who are found weaker in the subject

knowledge, through the counseling our faculties solve their problems and tried to improve their

subject knowledge.

To generate the interest about the subject we have organized Chem-Quiz, Lecture

competitions and poster presentation competition by various departments. All faculty members

are taking sincere efforts to generate interest among the students about the subjects.

Student feedback on curriculum:-

From the curriculum feedback, overall students found satisfied about course content,

extent of coverage of course, learning values and applicability/ relevance of real life

situation. To overcome the few suggestions given by the students in the feedback

mechanism, we have organized syllabus framing workshop for Botany subject for

Ahmednagar district. The faculty members from our college are also participated in the

syllabus restructuring workshops of various subjects. According to the course content we tried

to increase additional source material, reference books for effective teaching learning activity.

Our faculty members encouraged the students to take sincere efforts for learning

purpose.

Regarding the alumnae feedback, suggestion were made for infrastructural development,

February 2015. In the college Dept. of Botany, organized one day workshop on 28th

February 2015 regarding Restructuring T. Y. B. Sc. Botany Syllabus for Savitribai Phule

Pune University, Pune to implement syllabus from 2015-16.

Under the QIP of BCUD, college purchased Laboratory and Educational Aids/

Equipments of Rs. 1,01, 475/- (Rs. One lakh one thousand four hundred seventy five only),

V. D. Patil, on the topic, „A critical study of Integrated Child Development Scheme in

Ahmednagar City‟ is ongoing.

Short Term Courses

The college is running Short Term Courses under Karmaveer Vidya Prabodhini,

which is one of the innovative programmes of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha for giving

professional training and inculcating practical approach among students. These courses

provide the training in fewer fees. It is the need of an hour to provide skill based education

along with university curriculum. Moreover, a student pertaining education in Rayat

Shikshan Sanstha, should be self- employed and independent in all walks of life. Keeping it

as a premier motto, Hon. Chairman of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha and Karmaveer Vidya

Prabodhini, Dr. Anil Patil has rightly initiated short term courses in each college. In addition,

Late Hon. Adv. Raosaheb Shinde strongly emphasized the use of ICT with self-

employability in education.

Late Hon. Shankarraoji Kale had always insisted for self- sufficient and self-reliant

women students. Therefore, he has started this college as an innermost offering to his dear

has become an integral part of our life. If we want success in life then we have to face

competition, for this purpose everyone should be efficient then and then only he can reach his

objective and motto of life. This thing is taken into the mind and we have started competitive

exam centre in this academic year for the students while studying their curriculum. The

Competitive Centre is functioning in the college since last eight years. From Academic year

2014-15 we have improved the centre and conducted classes of competitive exam in the

Karale who was in chair and all members and students. He has given elaborated lecture on

how to clear exam. Mr. Kulange Sir (Dy. Collector in Orissa) has also delivered guidance

lecture for the students.

During the year 136 students have admitted in the centre and get benefit of this

programme. The centre provides the guidance for all types of competitive exam with the help

of prominent faculties of our college like Prof. Gafur Shaikh, Prof. Yogesh Tawar, Prof.

Amol Buchude, Prof. Ganesh Jadhav, Prof. Raviprakash Thombre, and CA. Nikhil Goyal.

They have conducted their lectures as per the decided time table. Students are guided in all

areas like Current affairs, General Knowledge Mathematics, Statistics, Different Tricks,

Logic, Reasoning, Aptitude Tests, Geography, History, Constitution of India, Reading

techniques, Communicational skills, Preparation for Interview, Workplace ethics, Motivation

and Leadership etc.

The centre also provides the guidance for the examinations like UPSC, MPSC, Staff

Selection, NET/SET, and recruitments in Banking, Railway, LIC, Post, Court, Sale Tax and

Income Tax Department etc. The advertisements published in the newspaper are regularly

displayed on the notice board.

Botanic garden is treasure of the plants and considered as a Green Pocket of the

college, evolving oxygen and ozone tirelessly. It maintains the pollution free and evergreen

campus. This year, in addition to the regular maintenance, Foxtail Palms were grown along

the border of the play ground.

Botanic garden encompasses about 200 species including RET species of various

building etc. Therefore college established the Commerce Association in department to

provide more facilities to the students. The functioning of Commerce Association for

Academic Year 2014-15 was started from July-2014 with the guidance from Hon. Principal

Dr. B.K. Karale of our college, Prof. N.I. Sayyed, faculty In-Charge of Department of

Commerce and with valuable assistance of all faculty members of Commerce Department.

It is very proud to mention that our faculty member Prof. Smt. Shubhangi Thube has

published research papers in 6 National Level Seminars, participated in 1 State Level

Seminar, one International Seminar and also attended one workshop in the related

2. Shri. Deepak Keskar from Yuva Vedh, Ramkrushna Math, Pune has delivered the

lecture to the students on the subject of „Thoughts of Swami Vivekananda‟ which was

very useful for character building of students.

3. Prof. Joe and Prof. Umesh of Zeal Institute of Management, Pune has also provided

expertise guidance regarding career opportunities in the field of management.

4. Department has organized „BCA Day‟. Prof S. S. Talule, New Arts, Commerce &

Science College , Ahmednagar was Chief Guest for the function and Hon. Prin. Dr. B.

K. Karale was in Chair. He delivered lecture on “Career opportunities of Computers

Application”. He elaborated on the all IT works & difference between college

education & IT work.

Achievements of Students:

Department feel proud to mention that our four students of F.Y B.Com. viz. Ms.

Tayyaba Pathan, Ms. Sonam Katariya, Ms. Uzma Khan & Ms. Usha Bhosale awarded

the National level SJVN scholarship-2014 of Rs. 24,000/- each per year up to their

completion of education on the basis of their merit.

Ms. Pratiksha More and Ms. Tayyaba Pathan have participated in quiz Contest held

by Ahmednagar College, Ahmednagar on Geography Day and got special

appreciation prize.

Nature Club

The College intends to run a Nature club activity in order to make the students

aware of the nature around them. Natural surrounding need to be healthy and thus plays an

important role in our lives.

This year the activities of the club started with the Inaugural function by Vice

Chancellor Dr. Pandit Vidyasagar of Nanded University. He emphasized the need of

conservation of nature for environmental protection. He also did the plantation around the

botanical garden.

A Excursion tour was organized for the students to Mula Dam, Rahuri

Vidyapeeth, Bhenda factory of Ahmednagar district to study the floral and faunal diversity

around the of the area as well to observe activities of Agriculture University like

Biotechnology, Hybrid varieties, Biocontrol unit, Polyhouse, Library, Tissue culture

laboratory etc. , Biofertilizers, Horticulture activities at Bhenda campus. The students were

provided the information and the data was compiled in the form of tour report. A lecture

on Expedition to Antarctica was given by Prof. Gantiat. The lecture was informative.

The students also collected recent paper articles from daily newspapers regarding

Agricultural developments, Environmental stresses, and Energy conservation strategies.

Science Association

The Science association committee is run by College in order to make the Science

students aware of the improved technologies, research and developments in science and facts

in recent years.

This year the activities of the club started with the Inaugural function by Vice

Chancellor Dr. Pandit Vidyasagar of Nanded University. He emphasized on the recent

technologies and their use in Science. He gave an expertise lecture on Science around us.

Another guest Dr. D.D. Patil, Joint Secretary, Rayat Shikshan Sanstha gave a talk on Need of

Science in development of nation.

The National Science day was organized on 28.2.2015. It was inaugurated by Prin.

Dr. Arvind Burungule and Shri Bal J. Bothe. They also inaugurated the Botany fest-Silver

fern, an activity presented by students of Botany on the Science day. They encouraged the

students to use science and scientific knowledge for the development of individual in today's

world.

Alumnae Association

In 2002-03, alumnae association of the college has been established. The students


degree they either get married or precede their further education. Such students should get

guidance for their future education or career and they should keep themselves attached with

the college and contribute for quantitative and qualitative progress of the college with this

purpose the alumnae committee and the alumnae association of the college meets once in a

year. Through their valuable suggestions, we are improving our academic, co-curricular and

extra -curricular enrichment of the college.

The members of the committee had a meeting with Hon. Principal and the college

alumnae committee. They have made some valuable suggestions about some professional

short term courses such as horticulture, repairing of household electronic goods like mixer,

iron, basic practices of medical lab technology, spoken English, how to use scientific

calculator, grammar course, GPS base land surveying mapping (Basic Level), writing and

proof reading, manak vartani(pure writing), research methodology, Modi script: reading and

writing, “Income Tax Act, 1961”.Thus, through their valuable suggestions alumnae shows

their devoted attachment and responsibilities for the college and the present students.

The college alumnae committee and head of the different departments are taking

efforts for this gathering and they always remain in contact with the alumnae.

Soft Skills Developmental Programme (Report of Batch-I, II and III)

Under the guidance of B.C.U.D Savitribai Phule Pune University, Radhabai

Kale Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Ahmednagar has conducted Soft Skills Development

Programme for T.Y.B.A/B.Com/B.Sc students.

The programme was planned by Prof. Dr. Suman Pawar, coordinator of

SSDP of the college, under the guidance of Prin. Dr. B. K. Karale and she was assisted

by Prof. Dr. B. K. Auti, Prof. M. B. Karande, Prof. Nikhil Goyal and Prof. Mrs.

Seema Tikone.

The entire programme was worked out in three batches. SSDP Batch I was

programme of Savitribai Phule Pune University.

In this training programme, Prin. Dr. Bhausaheb Karale, Prof. Vitthal

Bulbule, Dr. Preetam Bedarkar, Dr. Vinay Rannavare, Ms. Vidya Tanwar, Dr.

Bhausaheb Auti, Dr. Suman Pawar, Prof. Manohar Karande, Prof. Santosh

Ghangale, Prof. Santosh Gaikwad, Prof. Gafur Shaikh, Dr. Sangita Kulkarni,

Prof. Nikhil Goyal, Prof. Yogesh Tawar have worked as a resource persons and

motivated the participants.

The students have expressed their gratitude and sincere thanks to the organizers and

to Savitribai Phule Pune University for providing such a training programme for

their personality development and for future career. On the concluding ceremony,

the students are awarded with training certificates. The said course was very

fruitful for overall personality development of the students at degree level. We

are thankful to the University authorities for providing study material and financial

Cultural Committee

Being a women‟s college, the students should maintain their culture, traditions along

with their academic standards. Keeping this view in mind, committee organizes different

cultural activities throughout the year. On the occasion of Silver Jubilee Year we have

organized various cultural programmes. The cultural department mainly concentrates on

different cultural competitions like patriotic singing, bhajan singing, dance competition,

mehendi and rangoli on various programmes held at college etc. By celebrating different days

like traditional day, bangles day students show their keen interest in our different traditional

wearing. By this way the students show national integrity. For Annual Prize Distribution

programme, cultural events on different occasions through solo and group dances, folk

dances, lawani dance, performing bharud, short plays, and street plays were performed.

Students made the programme more cheerful. This year, through different activities students

have shown much concern and awareness about some burning social issues like dowry,

female feticide, cleanliness movement for village, girl‟s education etc.

For overall development of the students the committee consistently takes effort which

are guided by Hon. Principal, Dr. B. K. Karale and these efforts are assisted by the members

Committee against Sexual Harassment of Women

As per the guideline of Hon. Supreme Court, New Delhi and Savitribai Phule Pune

University, the committee against sexual harassment of women is in force since 2007-08.

We have not received such complaints so far as we have only girl students in our

college. But as a preventive measure, on 30th

September, 2014, Prin. Dr. B. K. Karale

initiated to organize a legal workshop under the able guidance of Justice Mrs. R. V. Sawant-

Waghule (Additional Sr. Judge, Ahmednagar District Court) on “Different Laws for Women

Safety at Working Place in Society and at Home”. Another informative session on “Laws

against Sexual Violence of Women” was engaged by Adv. Pradnya Hendre- Joshi in which

she made aware the students about the sexual assort, teasing etc. in this workshop Adv. Sayali

Gupta has given information about laws against domestic violence and its prevention.

Through such awareness programmes and personal counseling the committee is trying to

keep the students aware and safe from such harassments.

By this way under the guidance of Prin. Dr. B. K. Karale, the committee members by

taking the help of Tophkhana Police Station and special vigilance Police Squad Ahmednagar,

we are keeping our college campus free from such incidences.

As per the guideline of the Supreme Court, New Delhi, Government of Maharashtra

and University of Pune, an anti-ragging committee is constituted in the college. As we have

only girl students hence no such major complaints were reported so far. But as a preventive

measure, we have organized an awareness workshop and counseling session for the students.

Under the guidance of Hon. Prin. Dr. B. K. Karale this year the counseling sessions

were engaged by Adv. Mukund Patil (President Bar Council, Ahmednagar), Mr. M. H.

Shaikh (Secretary, Vidhi Seva Pradhikaran, Ahmednagar) and Adv. Sagar Padir, the

member of the Bar council Ahmednagar. In these sessions, the experts have guided the

students about the reported cases of ragging as well as the laws against ragging, ragging

through multimedia and its prevention, compliant against ragging and its filing procedure etc.

These activities against ragging were much informative for the students. Beside this, college

has formed an anti-ragging squad which particularly supervises the incoming and outgoing

time of the students on nearby roads, ST stand and in the college campus regularly.

By this way, through awareness and strict supervision we are maintaining our college

campus ragging free. Not only the committee members, Anti -Ragging squad member but all

the teaching and non-teaching staffs always keeps themselves alert against ragging of the

students.

This year, classes started from 23rd

June, 2014. Considering the strength, the

classrooms were allotted to the special as well as general subjects. Replacements of teachers

were made in the time- table due to transfer of some faculty from the college as well as new

appointments as per the guidelines of Sanstha. Temporary changes were made in the time-

table. This year Environmental Science classes for all second year classes of B.A., B.Com

and B.Sc. were conducted on every Saturday between 11.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m.

Health & Hygiene Awareness Committee

The Health & Hygiene awareness committee is run by College in order to make

the students aware of their health related awareness and make to more aware of their health

and hygiene. Being Women's College it is necessary to run such activities for the women

students because many of these come from a rural background and are unaware of the

consequences related to their poor health.

This year the activities of the club started with the inaugural lecture on 12.8.2014 by

Dr. Manjiri Zende (Gynecologist) regarding "Health and Hygiene awareness among women".

In her lecture, she emphasized the girls to be more concerned with their health and hygiene.

It reflects the fitness, body strength, Hemoglobin levels and overall development of their

body. Proper hygiene care is necessary for healthy mind and body in women.

Another lectures regarding Health Awareness like Lecture by Dr. Anagha Pargoankar

on "Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome" on 16.9.2014 was conducted by Zoology department. A

lecture by Dr. Satish Sonawane was organized on 9.2.2015 by Alumnae association of the

college on "Cancer Awareness in Women".

A Health checkup camp was organized for the F.Y. Students of all faculties of the

College. A total Health checkup of 585 students was done in the academic year by the

Medical Officer Dr. Nanda Wagh and the final reports of both the terms have been

submitted to the University of Pune. A blood donation camp was organized by NSS on

23.9.2014 for College students.

As per the S.P. Pune University regulations and collaboration with SRL Diagnostics,

Ahmednagar, a Hemoglobin estimation camp was organized on 13.12.2014 for the girl

students. About 120 students participated in the program. The average Hemoglobin range of

the students was found between 12 to 13.

to imbibe the culture, social commitment and national integration in the mind of students in

spite of mechanical teaching learning process. In our college, considering students as the

center, we have planned some activities. It should be noted that the development of

enriched with the perfect balance of body, intellect and soul. Prof. Munesh Myana delivered a

lecture and inspired those through practical of Judo Karate to students under 'Nirbhay Kanya

Botanic garden is considered as green zone of the college. It maintains the pollution

free and evergreen campus. On various occasion, activities like tree plantation were

organized. Fox-tail palms, bottle palms and coconut plants are planted by the committee and

visitors to increase the beauty of the college campus.

Botanic garden embraces over 200 species including RET- species of various

categories. The plant material required for regular demonstration for practicals and theory are

also maintained in the garden. The guidance for horticultural practices became possible only

due to botanic garden. The plants like Gloriosa, Adhatoda, Asparagus, Dioscoria, Hirda,

Behada, Amla, Bignonia and some ornamental plants get acclimatized in the garden. Dr. Mrs.

UGC Proposals and RUSA Committee

The committee implements various schemes for academic and research enhancement

in the college. The committee motivates various faculty members to submit proposals to

organize conference/ seminars etc. and to submit minor/major research project proposals to

U.G.C. and B. C. U. D. for financial assistance.

During this academic year the college has responded to the queries to U. G. C. (WRO)

of following schemes:

1. Special scheme for construction of Women‟s hostel for College- Phase III (Rs.

70.00, 000).

2. Financial assistance under the reference of development of Sports Instruments and

Equipment (Rs. 12, 00,000). These proposals are awaited for sanction by U.G.C.

(WRO) Pune.

3. IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) has received Rs. 3, 00,000 for

establishment and monitoring IQAC activities in the college. This amount has

Academics and research go hand in hand for achieving excellence in teaching-

learning and research activities. The members of committee meet frequently and discuss the

U.G.C., B.C.U.D. projects and proposals for seminars, conferences and research proposals.

B. C. U. D., Savitribai Phule Pune University sanctioned a national conference in Chemical

Sciences in which 133 delegates, research scholars and 09 resource persons were made a

dialogue on relevant disciples. In all 10 faculty members submitted their online minor

research proposals to U.G.C. (WRO), and 02 research proposals to B. C. U. D. for financial

assistance. They are waiting for short listing. B.C.U.D., Savitribai Phule Pune University

sanctioned the amount under quality improvement programme to purchase educational

equipments and special grant to construct ladies toilet blocks.

Avishkar and Innovation-2015 of University to present their quality research work. Our 03

Grievances Redressal Cell

As per the directives of Government of Maharashtra and Savitribai Phule Pune

University, Pune, the college has established Grievances Redressal Cell and it is functioning

smoothly. We have placed the grievance boxes at two places. The students can write the

grievances in written. The boxes are opened on every Saturday and they are opened and

discussed by Hon. Principal along with committee members. The grievances are resolved

after discussion. The serious grievances are not received yet. If any demand is found to be

fulfilled in the jurisdiction of college then it is responded instantly.

The students are suggesting and complaining without any hesitation and fear. My

Skills Development Programme

The changing demographic profile of the country, with 54% of its population under

25 years of age, rising aspirations of the youth seeking better jobs, and growing expectations

of employers for an efficient, well trained workforce have contributed to a focus on skill

development in India. Recognizing the urgency to reap the benefits of the demographic

dividend and the need for coordinating skill development efforts in the country, Government

of India notified the formation of Department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship on

31st July, 2014 that became a full-fledged Ministry of Skill Development and

Entrepreneurship (MSDE) on 9th Nov, 2014.

The National Skill Development Corporation India, (NSDC) is a one of its kind,

Public Private Partnership in India. It aims to promote skill development by catalyzing

creation of large, quality, for-profit vocational institutions. NSDC provides funding to build

scalable, for-profit vocational training initiatives. Its mandate is also to enable support

systems such as quality assurance, information systems and train the trainer academies either

directly or through partnerships. Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana is a unique initiative

by the Government of India that aims to offer 24 lakh Indian youth meaningful, industry

relevant, skill based training. Under this scheme, the trainees will be offered a financial

reward and a government certification on successful completion of training and assessment,

which will help them in securing a job for a better future.

Our college has also taken initiative by conducting a course in Banking under aegis of

B.F.S.I. Total 132 students are enrolled in this course as well as a course in Beauty and

Wellness has been attended by 65 students. College always takes an initiative by motivating

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. In this year, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. has conducted

campus interview in our college on 27th January, 2015. For this campus interview total 156

students from third year of B. A., B.Com. and B.Sc. has participated. In this event the

candidates were put through regular recruitment process of the company that includes

aptitude test and three rounds of interviews by HR, TR and MR. Total 08 candidates were

selected in this process. A provisional offer letter has been given to selected candidates to

join initial learning program in Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.

Besides this activity, through personal contacts of the faculty with reputed companies

and educational institutions, graduate and masters students from different departments were

employed.

In human life there is competition in every step of life therefore; competition has

become an integral part of our life. If we want success in life then we have to face

competition, for this purpose everyone should be efficient then and then only he can reach his

objective and motto of life. This thing is taken into the mind and we have started competitive

exam centre in this academic year for the students while studying their curriculum.

As the directives of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, the college has taken an initiative to

imbibe the zeal and enthusiasm among the students tenaciously. The activities by the center

1. The inauguration of the center was done by the auspicious hands of Dr. Anil Patil

2. The guidance classes were commenced for M.P.S.C. (95 students) and I.B.P.S.

3. The guidance classes were scheduled in three batches from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.

(2 batches) as well as 5.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. for hostel batch.

4. The center has purchased important books, VDO CDs of Rs. 75, 000/-. The

journals including Lokrajya, Yojana, Study Circle, Pratiyogita Darpan, Current

Affairs, Chanakya Mandal Parivar, Unique Bulletin and Civil Services Times

The center has organized parent meet as „Mother at College‟ on 16/10/2015 to

bring awareness among them. Around 70 parents attended the meet.

i) A test was conducted at the end of every month for practice on the

topics discussed in the lecture.

ii) 90 students appeared for the General Knowledge Test on 7/1/2016 held

iii) Miss. Varsha Thombre and Miss. Devyani Kalokhe actively

participated in Karmveer Quiz Competition-2015 organised by Rayat

Shikshan Sanstha Satara. 6 teams(12 students) participated in „Quiz

Master‟ competition held by Daily Lokmat and Raisoni Engineering

Teacher‟s Day Programme, New Year Day Programme in college. During the year, students

of SY and TY B.Com presented PPTs in the Class Seminars on the different related subjects

The committee plans for all internal examination held by college as well as conducts

and University Examinations as per the schedule directed by Controller of Examination,

Prospectus Committee

The prospectus committee has been established to publish a document for providing

information related to courses, examination, scholarships and various activities conducted by

the college. It is the important document provided to prospective students to attract them to

apply for admissions. This is an attempt to KYC (Know Your College).

This year, we have launched online admission process for bringing smoothness and

effectiveness. Department of B. C. A. has shouldered the responsibility of the online process.

The committee has overlooked the previous year‟s prospectus and it was decided that this

year‟s prospectus preparation will start from March 2016. Fee structure will be as per the

directives of Government of Maharashtra and Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.

Nature Club

The College intends to run a Nature club activity in the College in order to make the

students aware of the Nature and Environment around them. The students should learn the

importance of their healthy natural surrounding that plays an important role in their lives.

This year, the activities of the club started with the Inaugural function by Dr. Mahesh

Shindikar (Professor of Botany, C.O.E.P. Pune) on 18/8/2015. He gave a lecture on “Effect

of Environmental Changes on Nature” and emphasized the need of adoption of new

techniques of environmental conservation.

The students of B.Sc. class did collection of recent paper articles from daily news

papers regarding Botany and Zoology adopting new technologies of energy conservation, soil

improvement, Agricultural developments and Environmental stresses.

A one day Excursion tour was organized on 18/2/2016 for the S.Y. & T.Y. B.Sc.

students to Bhimashanker-Shivneri-Ozhar to observe, understand and study the floral and

faunal diversity of the area. About 110 students participated in the activity. The students were

provided the information of the developments of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry in that

particular area and the data was compiled in the form of tour report.

The B.Sc. students were also taken to the Botanical Garden to observe the different

groups of plants, their botanical names and uses. This information helps the students to get

real hand on experience with plants for daily use.

Remedial Teaching Committee

The aim of remedial teaching is to improve the teaching-learning process for slow

learners. They can cop up with the advanced learners in class. Remedial teaching helps them

to clear the primary concepts and key terms in that particular subject.

This year, remedial teaching is implemented by all the departments for the slow

learners of UG as well as PG classes. It involves extra classes and extra tests for these

students. Extra attention is given to these students to improve their performances. We really

The college runs the Parent- Teacher Scheme at every department. Each teacher is

allotted 10 students (depends on the strength of the department). The Parent- Teacher always

takes the initiative to solve the problems of the students. Particularly the attendance of the

students is entertained. They are availed the extra -curricular books for reading. The office

related and financial problems are solved. We try to enhance the interest of the student in

Science Association

The aim of science association is to develop scientific temper among the students. It is

helpful in developing the awareness of recent developments in science, research and

technology.

The activities of this year have started with the inaugural function by Dr. B. B.

Shingate, Department of Chemistry, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University,

Aurangabad. Prin. Dr. K. G. Kanade was the president of this function.

Science students have displayed the newspaper cuttings related to science and

environment on notice board continuously throughout the year. National Science day was

celebrated on 28th February, 2016. The prizes of various competitions of Chem Fest were

distributed on this occasion.

Alumnae association of the college actively functioning Since2002-03.Students


degree, either the girls get married or continues their further education. Such students should

get necessary guidance for their future education or career as well as they should keep

themselves attached with the college and contribute in quantitative and qualitative progress of

the college. With this objective, the alumnae committee and the alumnae association of the

college meets once in a year. Through their valuable suggestions & feedback, we are

improving our infrastructural, academic, co-curricular and extra -curricular Progression of the

college.

The members of the Alumnae Association had a meeting with Hon. Principal and the

college alumnae committee. This year, about 75 members were present for the

gathering.They have made some valuable suggestions about some professional skill based

courses like banking Beauty parlor, Fashion designing, how to use scientific calculator,

grammar course, GPS base land surveying & mapping, Marathi writing and proof reading,

Modi script: reading and writing, Thus, through their valuable suggestions, alumnae shows

their loyal affection and responsibilities for the college and the present students.

Soft Skills Developmental Programme

Radhabai Kale Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Ahmednagar has conducted Soft Skills

Development Programme for T.Y.B.A/B.Com/B.Sc students under the guidance of B.C.U.D

Savitribai Phule Pune University,.

Coordinator of SSDP of the college Dr. Suman Pawar has planned the programme,

under the guidance of Prin.Dr B.K.Karale and effortless assistance given by Prof. Dr. B. K.

Auti, Prof. M. B. Karande, Prof. Nikhil Goyal and Prof. Mrs. Seema Tikone.

The entire programme was worked out in two batches. SSDP Batch I was conducted

during 28th Jan. to 06thFebruary,2016 while Batch II was conducted from 29th Jan. to

07thFebruary,2016 In these batches, about 115 students have registered their names for the

training programme and they have successfully completed it. The student participants were

trained forGoal setting, Positive attitude, Conversational skills, Communication skills,

Motivation, Assertiveness, Stress management, Leadership, Etiquettes and manners,

Personality development, Presentation skills, Interview techniques, SWOT analysis etc.

The I Batch of SSDP was inaugurated by Prof.B V. Nagawade, Director, S. P .Pune

University sub-center at Ahmednagar while The II batch was started with the Informative

Guidence by Prof. Vitthal Bulbule From YASHDA,Pune.

In this training programme, Prin. Dr. Bhausaheb Karale, Prof. Dr. Preetam Bedarkar, ,

Ms. Vidya Tanwar, Dr. Bhausaheb Auti, Dr. Suman Pawar, Prof. Manohar Karande, Prof.

Santosh Ghangale, Prof. Santosh Gaikwad, Dr.Sangita Kulkarni, Prof. Nikhil Goyal, Prof.

Yogesh Tawar Prof. Seema Tikone have worked as a resource persons and motivated the

participants.

The students have expressed their gratitude and sincere thanks to the organizers and to

Cultural Committee

The cultural committee of the college keeps the students engaged throughout the year

with different cultural activities like celebration of different days, participation in different

competitions, like patriotic singing, mehendi, rangoli, solo dance, group dance, folk dance,

general quiz, poster, speech competition etc. We have celebrated birth & death anniversaries

of the great personalities having national as well as institutional importance. On the occasion

of annual prize distribution day, committee has organized variety entertainment programme

full of cultural events like bhajan singing, solo & group dances, folk dances, lawnis, bharud,

short plays, etc. The active participation of the students made the programme more joyful.

Through participation in different inter college competitions, students showed their

awareness in the social issues like voting, social cleanliness, female feticide, save water

campaign etc.

The college committee against sexual harassment of women is in force since 2007-

08 as per the guideline of Hon. Supreme Court, New Delhi and Savitribai Phule Pune

University

As we have only girl students in our college, hence not yet received such complaints

so far. But as a preventive measure, Prin. Dr. B. K. Karale, the chairman of this committee

has taken initiatives for organization of a legal Awareness workshop on 25th

September,

2015.

In this workshop District Judge, Ahmednagar District Court Mr. H.M. Deshpande

guided the students on “Different Laws for Women Safety at Working Place in Society and at

Home”. Another informative session on “Laws against Sexual Violence of Women” was

engaged by Adv. Nirmala Chaudhari Who is running “Nyayadhar Sanstha” for betterment of

the victims of either sexual or domestic violence. She aware the students about t sexual

assort, teasing etc. in this workshop Adv. Sagar Padir has given information about laws

against ,”Cyber Crime”.

S.P.Pune University have introduced a new lecture series under health awareness of

the girl students. Under this programme, Mrs. Dipali Awakale has given lecture on

prevention of sexual harassment at workplace.

Thus, through such awareness programmes and personal counseling, the committee is

trying to keep the students aware and safe from such harassments.

By this way, under the guidance of Prin. Dr. B. K. Karale, the committee members by

taking the help of Tophkhana Police Station and Nirbhaya Pathak, the special vigilance

Police Squad, Ahmednagar, are keeping our college campus free from such incidences.

An anti-ragging committee is constituted in the college as per the guidelines of the

Supreme Court, New Delhi, Government of Maharashtra and Savitribai Phule Pune

University. No such major complaints were reported so far as we have only girl students. But

as a preventive measure, we have organized an awareness workshop and counseling session

for the students.

Under the guidance of Hon. Prin. Dr. B. K. Karale this year the counseling sessions

were engaged by Mr. M. H. Shaikh (Secretary, Vidhi Seva Pradhikaran, Ahmednagar) and

Adv. Sarika Khakal the member of the Bar council ,Ahmednagar. In these sessions, the

experts have guided the students about the reported cases of ragging as well as the laws

against ragging, ragging through multimedia and its prevention, compliant against ragging

and its filing procedure etc. These activities against ragging were much informative for the

students. Beside this, college has formed an anti-ragging squad which particularly supervises

the incoming and outgoing time of the students on nearby roads, ST stand and in the college

campus regularly.

By this way, through awareness and strict supervision, we are maintaining our college

campus ragging free. Not only the anti -ragging committee members, anti-ragging squad

members but also all the teaching and non-teaching staff always keeps themselves alert

against ragging of the students.

Student Insurance, Health & Hygiene Awareness and

Medical Check-up Committee

The Health, Hygiene awareness and Medical Check -up committee is run by

college in order to make the students aware of their health and hygiene. Being Women‟s

college it is necessary to run such activities for the women students because many of the

students come from a rural background and are unaware of the consequences related to their

poor health and hygiene conditions.

This year, the activities of the committee started with the Inaugural lecture on

25.7.2015 by Dr. Hema Surana (Radiologist) regarding “Status of Female Child in Society”.

In her lecture, she reflected the role of girls and women in society and their present status in

society. She illustrated her topic in the form of a short informative film of „Save Girl Child‟.

Lecture under the SPPU sponsored programme on health care workshop were

conducted for students on 2/2/2016 by Mr. Khilare Rajnath on “Balancing Study or Career

and Personal Responsibilities” and another lecture on 13/2/2016 by Smt. Awlake Deepali on

“Self Defense- Sexual Harassment Recognition and Reaction” for inspiring the students

about their capabilities. A total of 120 girl students attended the lecture.

A special lecture of “Cerebral Palsy-Causes and Effects” by Dr. Shama Mantri was

organized on 4/2/2016. She inspired students to improve their life style and habits for their

better tomorrow.

A Medical check-up camp was organized for the F.Y. Students of UG and PG of all

faculties of the college from 1st to 5

th September 2015. A total medical checkup of 650

students was done in the academic year by the Medical Officer, Dr. Nanda Wagh and the

final reports of both the terms have been submitted to the Savitribai Phule Pune University,

Pune. A blood donation camp (Sponsored by Arpan Blood Bank, Ahmednagar) was

organized by N.S.S. on 5.9.2015 for college students. Total of 200 girl students and staff

checked their hemoglobin and 50 of them donated blood for the blood bank. The average

hemoglobin of students ranged from 9-11 and so they could not donate blood in the camp.

The college is actively participating in the National Service Scheme. Many students

have shown their active participation in social services. The activity involves the students to

make them more responsible citizen and develop a social behavior to interact in the society.

The unit includes 200 girl students and two program Officers.

The N.S.S. activities for the academic year started in June with Swachha Bharat

Abhiyan under the Government of India in the college campus. The students and faculty were

involved in the abhiyan and cleaned up the college and surrounding areas of the College.

This academic year the Inauguration of N.S.S. was done by Dr. Sudha Kankariya

(Renowned personality and Social worker, Ahmednagar) on 19/8/2015. She emphasized the

importance of girl child in society and efforts to save girl child for better future.

A blood donation camp (Sponsored by Arpan Blood Bank, Ahmednagar) was

organized on 5th

September, 2015. Mr. Ashutoshji Kale inaugurated the activity. About 200

students checked their hemoglobin and 50 students had donated blood for the blood bank. A

Chennai flood relief fund was generated by YUVAN, Sakal Group, Ahmednagar for

N.S.S. Special Winter Camp was organized at Chas, Tal. & Dist. Ahmednagar

between 23rd-29th December 2015. 100 students had participated in the N.S.S. camp. The

students were actively involved in cleaning the village, tree plantation, Informative lectures,

group activity, cultural activity and survey of school drop outs. The villagers appreciated the

involvement of students for all the activities.

As per the directives of Government of Maharashtra, school drop outs survey rally

was organized on 3/2/2016 to Ramwadi and Laltaki areas of Ahmednagar. 96 students

participated in the survey and about 83 school drop outs were traced from the area.

Rayat INSPIRE Programme

A Rayat INSPIRE Workshop was organized in the college from 2nd

January to 6th

January, 2017. A total of 30 students (Class VII, Class VIII and Class IX) of Ambika

Vidyalaya, Kedgaon (Ahmednagar) participated in the workshop. The students were actively

involved in laboratory visit, lectures and projects. A total of 8 lectures by experts like Shri.

Khandagale and Dr. Pasale were organized for the students on scientific thoughts,

presentation of projects, ideas regarding science. Dr. M. L. Dongre (S.M. Joshi College,

Hadapsar) inaugurated the programme and Prin. Dr. A. S. Burungule (S.M. Joshi College,

Hadapsar). attended the valedictory function. The students have prepared different projects

under the guidance of expert teachers from the 5 Science Departments- Mathematics,

Physics, Botany, Zoology and Chemistry. Each department contributed 3 projects and a total

of 15 projects were prepared by the students. A total of 24 Science faculty members were

involved in the workshop. Science faculty has organized an exhibition of projects. Prin. Dr.

Burungule, Prin. Dr. B.K. Karale, all staff members and students of the college appreciated

the efforts of students. All the students showed keen interest in their projects and received a

good response.

A total of 15 students participated in the Rayat AVISHKAR Programme with 8

projects and participated in the zonal level AVISHKAR competition held at Ahmednagar

College, Ahmednagar on 17th

December, 2016. The Science faculty guided and motivated

the students to participate in the competition. The students participated in the orientation

programme of AVISHKAR before the competition. The Three projects from Chemistry

Department (2 UG + 1 PG), 3 projects from Botany Department (U.G.) and 2 projects from

Zoology (U.G.) Department were presented at the competition. One of the P.G. projects

(Chemistry) was selected for university level competition.

UGC Proposals and RUSA Committee

Under the guidance of I.Q.A.C. of the college, the committee implements various

schemes for academic and research enhancement of the students and staff of the college. The

committee motivates various faculty members to submit proposals to organize

conference/seminars etc. and to submit minor/major research project proposals to U.G.C. and

B.C.U.D. for financial assistance.

During this academic year the college has received second installment of the

sanctioned grant by D.S.T.- F.I.S.T. schemes to imbibe research culture amongst research

scholars, teachers and students. In this year, amount of Rs. 75,000/- received for maintenance

of equipments. The college also received amount of Rs. 5,00,000/- from D.S.T.- F.I.S.T. for

development of e-learning room in the college. Under this scheme, some reference books are

purchased to enrich resources in the central library.

The committee also discussed on various issues regarding UGC proposals and

Academics and research go hand in hand for achieving excellence in teaching-

learning and research activities. I.Q.A.C. of the college motivates the members to create

interest amongst the teachers to be active in research in various disciplines. The members of

committee meet frequently and discuss for the U.G.C. and B.C.U.D. research project

proposals and organization of the seminars and conferences. This year, B.C.U.D., Savitribai

Phule Pune University sanctioned state level seminars in Zoology on 28th

taken an initiative to imbibe the zeal and enthusiasm among the students tenaciously. The

We are marching ahead for the digitization of the learning resources. In this year,

library has organized the book exhibition on the 125th

We have entered all books in LIBRERIA Software. Two close circuit TV cameras

are installed in the library for the security purpose.

The college is actively participating in the National Service Scheme undertaken by the

Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. Many students have shown their active participation

in social services. The activity involves the students to make them more responsible citizens

The N.S.S. activities for the academic year started in June with tree plantation

programme (As per the Government of India Resolution) in the campus on 1st July, 2016 by

inaugurated the activity. About 125 students participated in the activity and total 30 bottles of

blood was collected. The students and faculty actively participated in the activity.

N.S.S. Special Winter Camp was organized at Chas, Tal. and Dist. Ahmednagar

December, 2016. 110 students had participated in the N.S.S. camp. The

students were actively involved in cleaning the village, tree plantation, informative lectures,

group activity, cultural activity and survey. A hemoglobin check up camp of N.S.S.

volunteers was arranged at Primary Health Centre, Chas during the camp. All volunteers

actively participated in the activity and the Hemoglobin ranged from 11-13 on an average.

The villagers appreciated the involvement of students in all activities.

A.I.D.S. Awareness rally was organized on 1st December, 2016 from college- Civil

Hospital-college in order to bring awareness in the society about the causes and prevention of

A.I.D.S. A poster presentation was also organized in Civil Hospital and college to create

awareness among students. The students actively participated in the activity. Louis Brail

Birth Anniversary was celebrated on 4th

January, 2017 in the college. 100 students and

faculty participated in the campaign for eye donation.

The college has observed National Voting Day on 25th

Since 2007-08, the committee against sexual harassment of women is working as per

the guidelines of Supreme Court, New Delhi and Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.

We do not have received the complaints so far as we have only girl students in our

college, but for making awareness among the students, this committee has organized a legal

Awareness workshop on 24th

August, 2016 under the able guidance of Prin. Dr. B. K. Karale.

In this workshop, the District Judge of Ahmednagar District Court, Mrs. Suwarna

Kawale guided the students on „Different Laws for Women Safety at Working Place and in

Society‟. Adv. Pradnya Hendre engaged the legal session on „Laws against Sexual

Harassment of Women‟. She awaked the students about the sexual assort, teasing etc. in this

workshop, Adv. Sagar Padir has provided valuable guidance about laws against „Cyber

Crime‟. Sr. Judge, Mr. S. S. Jagtap has guided the students about laws against ragging and the

precautions to be taken.

In the second half of the academic year, as per the directions of Women Commission

of India, the Internal Complaint Cell under this committee has arranged the guidance lecture

of Adv. Rupali Tandale about the measures to be undertaken against at the sexual harassment

at the working places on 3rd

March, 2017.

Thus, through such awareness programmes and personal counseling, the committee is

trying to keep the students safe from such harassments.

By this way, under the guidance of Prin. Dr. B. K. Karale, the committee members, by

taking the help of Tophkhana Police Station and Nirbhaya Pathak of Ahmednagar are

keeping our college campus free from such incidences.

As per the guidelines of the Supreme Court, New Delhi, Government of

Maharashtra and Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune an anti-ragging committee is

constituted in the college. As we have only girl students, no such major complaints were

reported so far, but as a preventive measure, we have organized an awareness workshop and

counseling session for the students.

Mr. S. S. Jagtap engaged counseling sessions. In this session, the expert have guided

the students about the reported cases of ragging as well as the laws against ragging, ragging

through multimedia and its prevention, compliant against ragging and its filing procedure etc.

These activities against ragging were much informative for the students. Beside this, college

has formed an anti-ragging squad which particularly supervises at the incoming and outgoing

time of the students on nearby roads, S.T. stand and in the college campus regularly.

By this way, through awareness and strict supervision, we are maintaining our college

campus ragging free and always keeps themselves alert against ragging of the students.

Grievances Redressal Cell

As per the directives of Government of Maharashtra and Savitribai Phule Pune

University, Pune, the college has established Grievances Redressal Cell and it is functioning

smoothly. We have placed the grievance boxes at two places. It is the exclusive facility made

available for students. The students can write the grievances in written. The boxes are opened

on every Saturday and they are opened and discussed by Hon. Principal along with

committee members. The grievances are resolved after discussion with committee members.

The serious grievances are not received yet. If any demand is found to be fulfilled in the

jurisdiction of college then it is resolved instantly.

Placement Cell

Placement cell acts as an interface between the students and industries and helps the

students towards their campus placement.

In this year, Anthem Biosciences Ltd., Bengaluru has conducted campus interview in

our college on 5th February, 2017. For this campus interview total 109 students from M.Sc.

Part -II have participated. In this event, the candidates were put through regular recruitment

process of the company that includes aptitude test, written test and interview. Total 04

candidates were selected in this interview from our college.

Placement Cell has organized a one day workshop on “Interview - Tips and

Techniques for Success, Global Industry Trends and Winning Attributes for a Successful

Career” by Hon. Shri. Subodh Gajare, Solutions Architect, Cisco Systems, Bengaluru. Along

with this, a two day lecture series was arranged on “Interview Skills and Personality

Development‟‟ by Dr. M. B. Karande, Prof. Appasaheb Dhaygude and Prof. Pravin Badekar.

Besides this activity, through personal contacts of the faculty with reputed companies

and educational institutions, graduate and masters students from different departments were

employed.

The committee plans for all internal examination held by college as well as conducts

University Examinations as per the schedule directed by Controller of Examination, S.P.P.U.,

Pune. Internal Examinations of Science Faculty are held regularly. The time- table is

prepared separately by In- Charge of the Science faculty.

This year, Term End Examination (60 Marks) were conducted for B.A. and B.Com.

Faculty. The assessed answer papers and mark lists are submitted by the subject teachers.

Supplementary Term End Examination is also held for failed students. Central Assessment

B.Sc.) was held for the evaluation at college level.

The Botanic Garden is the green zone of the college and is measured as green wealth

of the campus. It helps to maintain pollution free and pleasant area. The activities like tree

plantation were organized during monsoon of this academic year. As a social responsibility,

tree plantation programme of the Government of India was conducted on 1st

July, 2016. In

this campaign, 100 tree plant saplings of mango, tamarind, coconut, Ficus and kadamba were

planted in the college campus. Presently most of them are showing vigorous growth and their

success rate are quite higher.

In the Botanic Garden foxtail palms and bottle palms add into the beauty of the

garden by providing avenue look. In the garden, there are more than 200 species including

medicinal and RET species are growing nicely. Many trees, shrubs, herbs and climbers

including the plant material of academic interest i.e. required for regular practicals and theory

classes are also maintained in the garden. The guidance to the students and plant lovers for

horticultural practices became possible only due to a spacious botanic garden. The plants like

Vitis, Gymnema, Dioscorea, Hirda, Behada, Amla, Adhatoda, Orchids, Gloriosa etc. and

some ornamental plants are fully acclimatized in the garden. Dr. Mrs. S. A . Kulkarni, Ms.

V. S. Dighe, Ms. J. D. Pawar, Ms. R. M. Bhite, Mr. Rajesh Pandit and Mr. P. D. Gengaje are

looking for development and overall maintenance of botanic garden under the able

The prospectus committee publishes a document for providing information related to

courses, examination, scholarships and various activities conducted by the college. It is the

Nature Club

The college intends to run Nature club activity in the college in order to make the

students aware of the nature and natural resources. The students should learn the importance

of environment and healthy natural surrounding that plays an important role in their lives.

The activities of the club started with the inaugural function by Dr. S. S. Jadhav

(Vice-Principal, New Arts, Commerce and Science College, Ahmednagar on 10th

August, 2016). He delivered a lecture on “Green Chemistry” and emphasized the use of

new techniques in Chemistry for conservation of nature.

In accordance with the Government Resolution, a tree plantation campaign was

organized on 1st July, 2016 in the college campus. Shri. Dadabhau Kalamkar and Shri.

Sangram Jagtap inaugurated the programme. All the staff members and students participated

in the tree plantation programme and in total 100 trees were planted.

The students of B.Sc. class collected the paper articles from daily newspapers related

to Biology, Biotechnology, new technologies of energy conservation, soil improvement,

agricultural developments and environmental stresses.

A one day excursion was organized on 10th

December, 2016 for the T.Y. B.Sc.

students to Saiban, Ahmednagar to explore and the floral diversity of the area. Total 16

students participated in this activity. The students visited the poly-house, orchid garden, rose

garden, lake, park and compiled the information in the form of tour report.

Our B.Sc. students regularly visit the Botanical Garden to observe the different groups

of plants, their botanical names and uses. This information helps the students to get real hand

on experience with plants for daily use.

Remedial Teaching Committee

The aim of remedial teaching is to improve the teaching-learning process for slow

learners. They can cop up with the advanced learners in class. Remedial teaching helps them

to clear the primary concepts and key terms in that particular subject.

The college runs the Parent- Teacher Scheme at every department. Each teacher is

Alumnae Association

The premier aim of the association is that students should get necessary guidance for

their future education or career as well as they should keep themselves attached with the

college and contribute in quantitative and qualitative progress of the college. Alumnae

association of the college is actively functioning since 2002-03 with these objectives.

Students become alumnae after completing their degree. Either the girls get married or

The college has organized a meet for alumnae on 5th

March, 2017. Total 80 alumnae

actively participated in the programme. Prin. Dr. B. K. Karale was in chair. Smt. Vidya

Chavan, Smt. Varsha Thanage- Shete, Smt. Priyanka Chikhale guided the students. Our

alumnae expressed their words of gratitude towards college management and faculty.

The members of the Alumnae Association had a meeting with Hon. Principal. This year,

about 70 members were present for the gathering. They have made some expectations related

to some professional skills based courses particularly Rangoli Course, preparation for

Banking examinations, women empowerment programmes etc. Thus, through their valuable

suggestions, alumnae show their affinity and responsibilities for the college.

This year, the alumnae association has decided for collection of book/s from each

alumnae member of the college and donation of these books to library of the college. The

college alumnae committee and head of the various departments are taking efforts to remain

Cultural Committee

The cultural committee of the college keeps the students engaged throughout the year

with different cultural activities like celebration of different days, participation in different

competitions, like patriotic singing, mehendi, rangoli, solo dance, group dance, folk dance,

general quiz, poster competition and speech competition etc. We have celebrated birth and

death anniversaries of the great personalities having national as well as institutional

importance. On the occasion of annual prize distribution day, committee has organized

various entertainment programme full of cultural events like bhajan singing, solo and group

dances, folk dances, lawnis, bharud and short plays etc. The active participation of the

students made the programme more joyful. Being a women‟s college, the committee has

celebrated Women‟s Day on 8th

March, 2017. Mrs. Kirti Patil (P.S.I.) Cyber Cell,

Ahmednagar Police has delivered a motivating talk on this occasion. Prin. Dr. B. K. Karale

was in chair. The students were highly motivated by her talk.

Through participation in different inter college competitions, students showed their

awareness in the social issues like voting, social cleanliness, female feticide and save water

campaign etc.

Health & Hygiene Awareness and Medical Check-up Committee

The health, hygiene awareness and medical check -up committee is run by college in

order to make the students aware of their health and hygiene. Being a women‟s college, it is

necessary to run such activities for the women students because many of the students come

from a rural background and are unaware of the consequences related to their poor health and

hygiene conditions.

Dr. Darshan Gore inaugurated the programmes of the committee with his keynote

address on „Eye Hygiene‟ on 2nd

August, 2016. In his lecture, he emphasized the importance

of eye and its hygiene.

An informative lecture by Dr. Kalyani Pawar-Chaudhari (Asian Nobel Hospital,

Ahmednagar) under the Department of Zoology on „Awareness of Polycystic Ovarian

Syndrome‟ was organized on 30th

September, 2016. Total 180 students attended the lecture.

Dr. Anagha Pargoankar delivered a lecture on “Jagrut Beti Abhiyan” on 10th

2016. She inspired the students to understand the importance of girl child in the society.

Dr. Nanda Wagh has organized a medical check-up camp for the first year students of

U.G. and P.G. from 1st to 3

rd September, 2016.

N.S.S. has organized a blood donation camp (sponsored by Arpan Blood Bank,

Ahmednagar) on 1st October, 2016 (World Blood Donation Day) for staff and college

students. Total of 125 Volunteers participated in the activity. A total of 30 bottles of blood

was collected during the activity. A hemoglobin camp was organized on 23rd

December,

2016 during N.S.S. camp at Chas, Dist. Ahmednagar. Total 110 students participated in the

activity and the hemoglobin ranged between 10-12.

A whole body health checkup camp was organized on 10th

February, 2017 in

collaboration with Sanjivani Health Center, Pipeline Road, Ahmednagar. In this camp, 60

staff members, 102 students and 10 other participants were benefitted. In this way, total 172

people participated in this activity.

Randhavane, Prof. Smt. S.S. Thube, Ms. F.A. Ambekar and Smt. U.R. Gadekar. We are

Education is a skill to provide lifelong learning experience to students. Qualitative

education can be providing a better opportunity for the rural students.

Rayat Shikshan Santha has started Karmveer Vidya Prabodhini to enhance quality of

students. It organizes various programmes to find out the hidden talent among the rural

students.

This year, General Knowledge Certificate Examination – 1 &2 were held for the

students.193 students appeared for Paper-1 from junior college; whereas 257 students

appeared for Paper-2 from senior college. College had arranged guidance classes for students.

We conduct the exam for Rayat Pradyna Shodh and Rayat Olympiad in which 418 students

and 175 students appeared for the examination.
