Unfortunately we haven’t been lucky enough to have a doe kid by him. His fill sister, Chitchat, is one of the highest producing does in the herd, milking over 14 pounds on her last milk test. While Charisma was also a high producer, the Chalupa cross onto our Camille line has given us the milk production out of first and second fresheners that we’ve been looking for. Charisma was quite possibly the most correct doe and successful doe that we’ve ever bred, unfortunately we lost her in 2014 as a 3 year old, with this being her final set of kids. We’ve held onto Charismatic trying to find excuses to use him on more of our does, but now that we’re reducing our numbers have realized its time to let him work in another herd. Borneo is another young buck that we have only used lightly. He has the incredible width of rump that his dam, Jumoke, also had. His full sister, Bora Bora freshened this spring with a beautiful, strongly attached mammary system and will be retained in the herd. Mariposa is one of our proven senior does. She is not only been a high production doe who excels in the show ring, but has also given us several daughters to fill her space. In our effort to reduce herd size we knew that we couldn’t keep all of our mature does, and with several going to Scarlet Hills, we are also going to offer Mariposa for sale. She is not a youth project type animal, but is an easy keeper who has a tremendous amount to contribute to your herds future. We will be retaining two of her daughters.
