Flying through the air with the greatest of ease, acrobats are as skilled in a fight as they are in a show. Nimbly dodging blows and escaping danger by the skin of their teeth, acrobats are defensive characters who rely on their skills over their armor.

HD: D8

Requirements: • Feats: Dodge, Mobility

• Skills: Acrobatics 5 ranks

Class SkillsThe acrobat’s class skills are Acrobatics (Dex), Bluff (Cha), Diplomacy (Cha), Disguise (Cha), Escape Artist (Dex), Perception (Wis), Perform (Cha), Sleight of Hand (Dex), and Stealth (Dex).

Skill Ranks per Level: 6 + Int modifier.

Class FeaturesThe following are the class features of the acrobat prestige class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency:The acrobat gains no new proficiencies.

Acrobat (Ex):At 1st level, the acrobat gains a competence bonus on all Acrobatics checks equal to twice his acrobat level.

Evasion (Ex):At 1st level, the acrobat gains the evasion class feature of the rogue (Chapter 3 of the Pathfinder Core Rulebook).

AcrobatA Prestige Class for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game

Keeping it SimpleWe’ve always felt that oftentimes, prestige classes were not always “worth it”. They rob a character of their

higher-level abilities and often dictate many aspects of the character’s growth by way of heavy entry requirements. These really simple prestige classes allow you to do what you’ve always wanted to in a simplistic, no-frills,

straightforward sort of way. They have low entry requirements, only last a few levels, and provide a bang for their buck, yet are otherwise mundane. They have 3 levels and a respectable payoff for the investment. They are designed

to complement a wide variety of classes and builds as well as to cover some areas that mighthave been previously overlooked.

Uncanny Dodge (Ex):At 1st level, the acrobat gains the uncanny dodge class feature of the rogue (Chapter 3 of the Pathfinder Core Rulebook).

Improved Uncanny Dodge (Ex):At 2nd level, the acrobat gains the improved uncanny dodge class feature of the rogue. In addition, every level in acrobat counts as levels in rogue for the purpose of determining which opponents can flank him with their improved uncanny dodge talent.

Glancing Feint (Ex):At 2nd level, when the acrobat is the target of a critical hit, he may attempt an Acrobatics check to reduce it to a normal hit. The DC of this check is equal to the confirmation roll.

Improved Evasion (Ex):At 3rd level, the acrobat gains the improved evasion class feature as the advanced rogue talent (Chapter 3 of the Pathfinder Core Rulebook).

While wizards lock themselves in towers and undergo years of cloistered arcane education, some practitioners are simply petty dabblers who practice the art more for fun than for serious use. Still, after messing with magic for long enough, they have a grasp of the basics and their powers can be put to practical use.

HD: D8

Requirement: • Skills: Knowledge (arcana) 6 ranks or Spellcraft

6 ranks

Class SkillsThe arcane dabbler’s class skills are Appraise (Int), Craft (Int), Fly (Dex), Knowledge (arcana) (Int), Linguistics (Int), Profession (Wis), Spellcraft (Int), Use Magic Device (Cha).

Skill Ranks per Level: 2 + Int modifier.

Class Features:The following are the class features of the arcane dabbler prestige class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency:The arcane dabbler gains no new proficiencies.

Spells:The arcane dabbler casts arcane spells as a sorcerer twice his arcane dabbler level to a maximum of his full character level to determine his spellcasting abilities, including spells per day and total spells known. The arcane dabbler selects his spells known from any arcane spellcasting list. Once the choice of spell list has been made, it cannot be changed. Only spells 3rd level and lower are considered to be on the arcane dabbler’s spell list. The arcane dabbler chooses one mental ability score as their casting stat. The arcane dabbler can cast his spells in armor without incurring arcane spell failure, but not shields.

Bonus Metamagic Feat: At every level, the arcane dabbler receives a bonus metamagic feat.

Metamagic Focus: At 1st level, the arcane dabbler may pick one metamagic feat. Whenever he applies this metamagic feat to one of his arcane dabbler spells he treats its actual level as -1 lower for determining the spell’s final adjusted level. He may not lower a spell’s level more than its actual level using this ability.

Arcane Enhancement: At 2nd level, the arcane dabbler treats all arcane dabbler spells as if they were modified by the Intensified metamagic feat. This does not increase the required spell slot to cast the spell.

Arcane Devotion: At 3rd level, the arcane dabbler treats his full character level as his caster level for the purposes of arcane dabbler spells. This does not grant him any additional spell slots or spells known.

Animal companions often become the mainstay of characters, and a beastlord takes that bestial bond to the next level. A beastlord is focused more on his animal companion and connection with the animal kingdom than on his connection with the realms of man. Even those without an existing animal companion can become a beastlord if he is skilled enough at the art of animal handling.

HD: D8

Requirement: • Skills: Handle Animal 5 ranks

Class SkillsThe beastlord’s class skills are Climb (Str), Fly (Dex), Handle Animal (Cha), Heal (Wis), Knowledge (geography) (Int), Knowledge (nature) (Int), Perception (Wis), Ride (Dex), Survival (Wis), and Swim (Str).

Skill Ranks per Level: 4 + Int modifier.

Class Features:The following are the class features of the beastlord prestige class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency:The beastlord gains no new proficiencies.

Animal Companion (Ex):At 1st level, the beastlord can form a close bond with an animal companion listed in the animal choices list for the druid. This animal is a loyal companion that accompanies the beastlord on his adventures.

Unlike normal animals of its kind, an animal companion’s hit dice, abilities, skills, and feats advance as the beastlord advances in level. If the character receives an animal companion from more than one source, his effective levels stack for the purposes of determining the statistics and abilities of the companion (rather than gaining a second animal companion). Most animal companions increase in size when the character they are bound to reaches 4th or 7th level, depending on the companion. If the beastlord releases his companion from service, he may gain a new one by performing a ceremony requiring 24 uninterrupted hours of prayer in the environment where the new companion typically lives. This ceremony can also replace an animal companion that has perished.

A beastlord uses his full character level for the purpose of determining the statistics and abilities of the animal companion.

Wild Empathy (Ex):At 1st level, the beastlord gains the wild empathy class feature of the druid. If the beastlord already has this class feature, he instead gains a +4 insight bonus on wild empathy and Handle Animal checks. At 3rd level, the beastlord can use her wild empathy class feature on magical beasts of any Intelligence score.

Beastslayer (Ex):At 2nd level, the beastlord’s insight into the mind of a beast allows him to fight beasts with greater skill. Both the beastlord and his animal companion gain an insight bonus on all attack and damage rolls against creatures of the animal and magical beast type equal to his beastlord level. If the creature is similar to his animal companion, the bonus from this class feature is doubled.

Track (Ex):At 2nd level, the beastlord adds his full beastlord level to Survival skill checks made to follow tracks. This bonus stacks with the ranger’s class feature.

Detect Beasts (Ex):At 3rd level, the beastlord gains the scent universal monster ability though he may only use it to detect animals and magical beasts.

Beastbond (Ex):At 3rd level, a beastlord can use Handle Animal checks on magical beasts as if they were normal animals.

Masters of magical crafting, enchanters take the making of mystical objects quite seriously. Dedicating themselves to their craft, there is nothing more glorious to an enchanter than one of their items achieving fame and glory.

HD: D6

Requirements: • Skills: Spellcraft 6 ranks or any Craft skill 6

ranks

• Feats: Any item creation feat

Class SkillsThe enchanter’s class skills are Knowledge (arcana, engineering, nature, or religion) (Int) Spellcraft (Int), Use Magic Device (Cha).

Skill Ranks per Level: 2 + Int modifier.

Class FeaturesThe following are the class features of the enchanter prestige class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency:The enchanter gains no new proficiencies.

Spells per Day:At the every level, the enchanter gains new spells per day as if he had also gained a level in a spellcasting class he belonged to before adding this prestige class. He does not, however, gain other benefits a character of that class would have gained, except for additional spells per day, spells known (if he is a spontaneous spellcaster), and an increased effective level of spellcasting. If a character had more than one spellcasting class before becoming an enchanter, he must decide to which class he adds the new level for purposes of determining spells per day.

Bonus Feat:At each level, the enchanter gains a bonus item creation feat.

Prodigious Speed (Ex):At 1st level, the enchanter makes an additional 1000 gp of progress for each 5 by which he beats the DC when making a magic item. If this would reduce the time to less than eight hours, the time it takes to create the item is reduced by two hours for each five beyond that, to a minimum of 1 hour.

Boosted Activation (Su):At 2nd level, the enchanter may use his caster level in place of the caster level of any spell completion magic item he uses. In addition, items he wields use his caster level (if higher) instead of their own for the purposes of resisting a dispel magic attempt.

Master of Wonders (Ex):At 3rd level an enchanter may carry up to 2000 gp per character level in unspecified magical equipment. He may, as a full round action, produce a magic item he has the ability to create, deducting its cost from his total. He may refill this total just as though he were creating a magic item with a cost equal to the amount he wishes to fill.

Purists are often constrained in their spell lists due to a pompous notion of superiority. Magic users transcend this boundary and expand their knowledge in exotic places and study with myriad masters of various schools. They delve into information both academic and esoteric, expanding their repertoire of spells in ways other could not.

HD: D6

Requirement: • Spells: Ability to cast 3rd level spells

Class SkillsThe magic user’s class skills are Appraise (Int), Craft (Int), Fly (Dex), Knowledge (all) (Int), Linguistics (Int), Profession (Wis), and Spellcraft (Int).

Skill Ranks Per Level: 2 + Int modifier.

Spells per Day:At the indicated levels, the magic user gains new spells per day as if he had also gained a level in an arcane or divine spellcasting class he belonged to before adding the prestige class. He does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class he would have gained, except for additional spells per day, spells known (if he is a spontaneous spellcaster), and an increased effective level of spellcasting. If the character had more than one spellcasting class before becoming a magic user, he must decide to which class he adds the new level for purposes of determining spells per day.

Expanded Spell List:At 1st level, the magic user chooses three spells from any class’s spell list and thereafter treats it as if it were on the spell list of his base spellcasting class; if one of his base classes could not normally cast that spell, it is treated as a spell of 1 level higher. The spell’s type (arcane or divine) and save DCs function as normal for his base spellcasting class. All other restrictions of his normal spellcasting class apply. This ability does not allow other spellcasters to prepare, cast, or use spell trigger or spell completion items of expanded spells (such as a wizard using a flame blade scroll). At 2nd and 3rd level, the magic user may select 3 new spells in this same fashion.

Practitioner of the Art:At 1st level, the magic user treats any ability that determines his spell casting as 2 points higher for the purposes of determining how many bonus spells per day he can cast. At 2nd level, this bonus improves to +4, and a 3rd level this improves to +6. This is a competence bonus.

A metamagister is a spellcaster who dedicates themselves to unlocking the greatest potential of their magic. By way of manipulating spells to be something other than what they are, a metamagister creates something more than a simple variation on old conjurings, something better.

HD: D6

Requirements: • Skills: Spellcraft 6 ranks

• Feat: Any metamagic feat

• Special: Ability to cast 3rd level spells

Class SkillsThe metamagister gains no new class skills.

Skill Ranks per Level: 2 + Int modifier.

Class Features:The following are the class features of the metamagister prestige class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency:The metamagister gains no new proficiencies.

Spells per Day:At the every level, the metamagister gains new spells per day as if he had also gained a level in a spellcasting class he belonged to before adding the prestige class. He does not, however, gain other benefits a character of that class would have gained, except for additional spells per day, spells known (if he is a spontaneous spellcaster), and an increased effective level of spellcasting. If a character had more than one spellcasting class before becoming a metamagister, he must decide to which class he adds the new level for purposes of determining spells per day.

Metaslots (Ex):At 1st level, the metamagister gains three extra special spell slots (or spells per day if a spontaneous caster). These spell slots always count as one spell level greater than what the spellcaster would normally be able to cast for the purpose of applying metamagic feats to the spell, for other effects dependant on spell level, such as save DCs and the globe of invulnerability spell, treat the spells prepared in these slots as spells of the highest level the metamagister can cast. This maximum also includes the Heighten Spell metamagic feat. At 2nd level, the metamagester gains two additional slots that are one level above the highest spell level he could cast and two slots that are two spell levels above what he could normally cast.

At 3rd level, he gains one additional slot two spell levels above what he could normally cast and two slots three spell levels above what he could normally cast. This ability does not give the metamagister the ability to cast higher level spells sooner than he would otherwise be able to.

Bonus Feats:At every level, the metamagister gains a bonus metamagic feat.

Favored Metamagic (Ex):At 3rd level, the metamagister may select one metamagic feat that he knows; as a swift action he may expend a number of spell slots with a total level equal to twice the metamagic feat’s level adjustment to apply that feat to a spell he is casting without increasing its effective level. The spell is cast as part of the swift action if Quicken Spell has been applied to it. Whenever the metamagister gains a new metamagic feat, he may choose to change out his favored metamagic feat.
