OtsegO PArK rAcing series (free!) Come out for these fun races at parks throughout the city of Otsego. Kids will be able to race against others their same age and all runners will get a ribbon for participating. There will be three races throughout the summer each one at a different park. Races start at 7:00 p.m. All races are sponsored by Anytime Fitness.

beginner Archery clAss Midwest Archery is again partnering with the Parks and Recreation Department to offer a great opportunity to kids 8 years and older. Future archers will spend 1/2 hour in the classroom as instructors show them the basics of archery. From the classroom, kids will head to the range and learn proper shooting techniques. As part of this program, participants will be given tow free range passes and equipment rental to gain more experience. mOndAy, APril 1 6-7:30 p.m. $15 Archery in the PArK Young Archers come out and learn or refine your archery skills out in the parks this summer. Otsego Parks & Rec and Midwest Archery are working together to provide the City with its first archery in the parks program. Kids will learn archery with the instruction of the professional staff of Midwest Archery. thursdAys: June 13-July 11 No Class the week of July 4th 9-10 a.m. Beginner Class 10-11 a.m. Intermediate Prairie Park $45 OtsegO sAfety cAmP And biKe rOdeO The City of Otsego Police Commission and the Otsego Parks and Recreation Department are pairing up to offer a day of fun and learning. Campers will learn all about fire, electrical, water, and bike safety. Local businesses and service personal will be on hand throughout the day to teach campers the do’s and don’ts of safety. Everyone will also need to bring their bikes and helmets for the bike rodeo that they will participate in during the camp. Campers will get lunch, T-shirt, and a goodie bag to bring home. tuesdAy, June 11 9-3 p.m. Prairie Center $20

tiny t-bAll Tiny T-Ball is a fun league where parents can be right next to their child as they experience one of their first sporting experiences. Kids will learn how much fun playing sports can be while refining their skills in hand-eye coordination, running, and sportsmanship. Kids will get a T-shirt and a hat. tuesdAys: June 11-July 30 Week of July 4th off 3-4 year olds w/parents 5:30-6:15 p.m. Otsego Prairie Park $35 t-bAll T-Ball is an entry-level league to introduce young players to baseball. Players will develop their skills while focusing on the basic fundamentals of throwing, fielding and hitting. Team sizes are small at about 8-10 players per team. Players all hit from an adjustable batting tee. We have taken strides to incorporate the great ideas of instructors, students, park and rec representatives, and parents. The goal of the camp is to provide a safe and fun learning environment where young skaters can progress. Camp is more than just a lesson; it is an experience. This program provides young players a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in non-contact, continuous action while learning lessons in teamwork. The NFL

bAbysitting WOrKshOP This workshop is designed to educate and train babysitters on how to keep themselves, as well as the children in their care, safe. Training will include; caregiving skills, safety skills to prevent emergencies, how to manage real-life problems and basic first aid. This class will help build confidence to empower our youth to always

Flag Football program is designed to act in a safe manner. Children who are able educate young people about football while emphasizing participation and sportsmanship. Players learn skills and lessons that help them succeed both on and off the field.

For $5, individuals can golf nine holes on August 5th. To register for a tee time, golfers will need to register online with the parks and recreation department by August 2nd. 1st AnnuAl OtsegO “KicK-Off” Adult KicKbAll tOurnAment Call your neighbors, friends and co-workers to come out and play in this the 1st Annual Otsego Kick-Off adult kickball tournament. Otsego Parks and Rec and New Life Community are teaming up and running a one day tournament, there will be trophies for 1st place and best uniforms!! From Monticello couples will be guided down the Mississippi River to Norin Landing where a bus will take them back to the Riverwood Inn & Conference Center where they will enjoy dinner which is included in the price of the trip. Canoes, paddles and life jackets are also included so sit back and enjoy an evening on the river.

sPring shuffle 5K WAlK And run And 1K Kids rAce mAy 4th 9 a.m. Starts at Prairie Center entry fee: $18 Pre-register by April 20th $25 after April 20th (including race day registration) $10 Kids 1K (If signed up by April 20th guaranteed a T-shirt) start location: 8899 Nashua Ave., Otsego MN 55330 course: 5K (3.2 Miles) course on city streets and trails in and surrounding Prairie Park race day: Registration opens at 8 a.m. All pre-registered 5K participants will be guaranteed a race T-shirt. There will be refreshments and a drawing for prizes after the race. Awards will be given for the overall men’s and women’s winners. Kids 1k will be in Prairie Park; Kids will be led by the Rogers Girls Dance Team on an approximately 1K course. summer beginner tennis With cOAch reimer Skills taught will be fundamental grips, footwork, strokes, volleys, overheads and serves. Balls will be fed by a coach with minimal actual point play. It is a progressive class which means the skills are built on the previous skills learned. The Coaching Staff: The Lead Coach is a college player who has worked with Coach Reimer as a student and an assistant coach for at least 6 or years. The 2+ Assistant Coaches will be advanced varsity/state level high school players who have and/or are working with Coach Reimer and have coaching experience. Coach Reimer has been a tennis player since 1973 and has been coaching since 1980.
